The end of Bush's reign has made the Democratic party safe for infighting
Although I am sick of Clinton and Obama I'm loving every second of it. The first sign that our country is being returned to us is when partisans feel free to argue amongst themselves.

For folks that don't like it, guess what, IT'S HEALTHY!!!! Unlike 04 each primary will have a different result with a different top three. I would have really hated it had this primary season gone down like Kerry running away from it. Too many folks afraid to dissagree on the issues.

Then again.

Who IS talking about issues so far?

Amongst the primary voters it's hot and heavy. In the media you'd think this was a beauty pagent.

1. I don't think we've ever stopped infighting.
Certainly not in '04. This place was a zoo for months.

2. I thought 04 was really tame
Most people argued over standards for electability and crap like that.

This time out is a little different. I think it's pretty well known that these primaries are the presidential elections. The general is going to be pretty much a joke. Especially if these clowns are nominating McCain.

Huckabee is like a poor mans Bob Dole.

The only two I can see from the Republicans really getting down and dirty with swift boating are Thompson and Giulliani (Probably Romney if he has the same people who ran Kerry Healy's campaign). Other than that it's wide open and none of those guys are really strong.

Not to mention the Republican primary turnout has been pitiful thus far.

3. Tame? GD: Politics had to be created so that the wackos would have a place to insult each other.
A lot of the arguments are the same, really. Everyone accusing everyone else of being a paid shill. Candidates being declared Republicans and Bush-lite and neo-cons. Everyone whining about the negativity and "attacks".

Hasn't really changed much, actually.
