26. Since the media's point was 'Colorblindness' -- what is a repudiation of that mean?
Seriously.

The polls weren't just polls about candidates. The media had framed this as a referendum on 'colorblindness' and the end of racism in America. Right or wrong (and mostly wrong) that *is* what the story of the polls was framed as.

Does that get lost, or is it swept under the rug as if it never happened so people don't have to draw certain conclusions in public?

Democrats

I'm not exactly in the mood to do the math right now but according to CNN here are some of the latest numbers-

McCain 37% 56,105
Obama 36% 68,232

Regardless of who wins the Democratic primary more people are voting for Democrats :D .

41. Would that be the media that rakes in the advertising dollars?

We all know that it doesn't matter what they say as long as it makes people watch.

I'd say that they did just fine. Reputation is no longer important. And all the folks here who have been breathlessly watching one of the commercial channels to get their information has done their part nicely.

The channels will receive their ratings. The ratings will determine future ad pricing for the next debate or primary results show. And the channels will do even better. And we'll still not get the whole story. Most of the candidates from both parties will continue to be ignored by the media.

So, no, I think we're all the loser tonight.

Almost 70,000 more people voted Democratic than voted Republican, despite open races in both parties.

In 2002, Sununu defeated Jeanne Shaheen by only about 4%. This year, her margin over him will be about three times that.

in the vicious way they savaged Senator Clinton. They treated my own candidate as an object of adoration, but with their savagery toward his opponent, Mrs. Clinton, they may well have launched a backlash that ended up losing him New Hampshire.

Because of 9/11 I was easily swept up into Bush's war, went along with it,believed in it.It was a life lesson;I was manipulated, naive and misinformed/not engaged.I promised myself I would never again be "swept up" like that.

For that reason alone I ignored the Media Event that is Barack Obama.Lesson learned, lesson practiced.
