19. This sympathy shit sounds mighty sexist to me.
Please stop putting down Dem voters. This kind of verbal nonsense will only garner more support for HRC. Be careful what you wish for. Are you tone deaf? Did you not get the message? Women are not going to sit down and shut up as long as people keep this beating up of HRC and her voters. You will bond women together for real if you don't stop this crap.

23. Hillary thinks she can trick women into voting for her just because she is a woman
I, on the other hand, think that most women in the US will see past this Gender-Card and actually pay attention to the quality of the candidate they select.

You can fool some of the people, some of the time
but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

I suggest Hillary find something stronger to run on than 'Girl Power'.

33. Hillary = Cronyism and "experience"
She has even less substance than Barack, with her supposed 35 years of experience. What fights has she fought? Where are her accomplishments.

Substance my ass. Only a last name.

7. I don't want any
I don't want any of our candidates to win on just hype.
It was a good thing Clinton win Iowa on inevitability and a good thing Obama didn't win New Hampshire on hype.

The contest continues and the party wins and the pundits lose.

8. Actually, it did. Just not enough to turn it completely to Obama.
Obama finished, what, 6000 votes behind DLC-dandy Hillary?

Dean finished 27,000 votes behind Dean with much less turnout.

10. From the Hillary supporters mostly. I'm merely listing off some facts.
NH is a conservative-leaning state. It's been historically Republican. DLC is more fitting to the average voter than a more progressive candidate (Dean, Obama, Edwards).

The New Hampshire presidential primary is among the first to be held in election years and has often forecast national trends or influenced election outcomes. The primary is itself a major New Hampshire “industry.” Republicans have played the dominant role in New Hampshire politics since the Civil War, but Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat, was elected governor in 1996 and reelected in 1998 and 2000. In 2002, Republican Craig Benson was elected to the office, but he was defeated by Democrat John Lynch in 2004. Lynch was reelected in 2006.

And look at the 2000 primary results. 82,000 more votes were cast for Republican candidates.

How many elections have you participated in here in NH-?

I'm so tired of people telling me about my home.

My grandfather would have had the perfect answer for you.

I'm a poor replacement.

27. The facts are that Hillary won Democrats, Obama needed "independents"
If Obama is so progressive why was he relying on independents and Republicans to put him over the top in New Hampshire?

You see...NH is *not* a progressively liberal state. That's the whole point. That's why it went for Hillary.

15. yes, we did- so much so that people felt
free to excercise the power of the ballot less sacredly.

Obama didn't lose NH- he did far better here than anyone would have dreamed possible a scant 3wks ago.
And he never resorted to belittling his oponents to lift himself up.

He's won me over- now more than ever.

22. The hype was brought on by the media.
They should be ashamed of themselves. Then again, they love to prop someone up only to tear them apart. Sensationalism. Time will only tell what will happen with Obama and one can only hope he can take the dukes, but as of now it appears he has a glass jaw.

Buying into the "hype", that is. A less-than-three percentage point victory is nothing to crow about.

28. I believe NH bought the hype, it just wasn't enough to put him over Clinton.
It doesn't mean Obama finished higher than anyone thought he would a week before Iowa. The fact is, New Hampshire was Hillary Country prior to Iowa and it stays that way. Hats off to her for making a comeback, but it wasn't a blowout. Obama did well. Am I happy he came in 2nd? No. Was it a blowout for Hillary like it was for Obama in Iowa? Not even close. 2 points is a dramatic difference from the 9 Obama beat Clinton with in Iowa.

The hype is real and I have faith that it will carry over into Nevada then South Carolina and finally into Super Tuesday.
