23. Paper ballots. They vote at the only place in the notch, a grand
gracious old hotel called the Balsalms. There's nothing else around for miles, and the notch and the hotel are spectacular; magical even.

My son's there tonight- I expect to hear all about it tomorrow.

Because this little town's votes aren't predictive, it's more a curiosity than anything else. I won't be staying up to see the results.

21. You're not mistaken. Clark did win the Notch in 2004.
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 06:55 PM by mcscajun
...the result in Dixville Notch is hardly a reliable bellwether for statewide results. The town’s Democrats picked Wesley Clark in 2004, Bill Bradley in 2000, and Bill Clinton in 1992. (John Kerry, Al Gore, and Paul Tsongas were the actual statewide winners those years.) On the Republican side, Dixville voters backed George Bush in 2000 (actual winner: John McCain) and Bob Dole in 1996 (actual winner: Bob Dole).

And actually, he got eight (8) votes. :) Kerry got three (3).
