Hillary was rude after Obama talked about his mother dying of cancer!!
Edwards talked about the girl dying cause the insurance company didn't pay for a transplant. Then Obama talked about seeing his mother die of cancer. Immediately after Obama finished talking about his mother, Hillary said "Excuse me, I think we need a reality check." I about threw something at the TV!!! How rude was that? They were talking about real life situations and she basically said that Edwards and Obama needed a reality check! I remember that moment the most. That was incredibly a rude thing to say after someone just talked about their dying mother. No wonder she comes across as unlikeable!! Obama should've set her in her place.

61. Well, I'm most concerned about eliminating the Repukes......
... but yes, you're right, I'd rather it not be the centrist-conservative nominee. This country is too beaten down and suffering to handle any more conservative anything, even if it's only centrist. Anything centrist to right wing benefits the powerful - rich and corporations only, and hurts the unprotected and unpowerful.

7. She wanted to correct edwards and let it be known the bill he
co sponsored was vetoed by bush and did not become law, and that was a good point by her showing that the country needed a president that cares about people and how a president can be an agent of change. Twas no disrespect to either edwards or obama

14. She shouldn't have started by saying "we need a reality check"
How much more reality than by seeing your mother die of cancer in front of your eyes. It was a very somber moment for Obama. He wasn't trying to score political points or anything. Hillary should've answered in a more polite way. I was so pissed she said that. That was incredibly rude and ungracious. That was a moment for her to show some sorta heart. She's as cold as the New Hampshire winters.

18. Don't tell me about the "Likability Tour"...
I saw it up-close-and-personal in Iowa.

For the love of Pete, it could have been an SNL skit.

I like to call it the "BBFF Reality Tour."

It was like watching a Presidential candidate run for prom queen. She touted her bestist
friends from grade school and her Sunday school teachers.

If you have to orchestrate media events and tour around the state, convincing people that
you're not an unfeeling pod person--then maybe you're not going to win the Iowa caucus
after all.

I predicted her 3rd place because of this stuff. It was unreal.

If she's "experienced", it sure as hell didn't show in how she ran her campaign.

Imagine Obama were being criticised for not being likeable and a white, female poster posted that he would next have to fight Samuel Jackson in a remake of Shaft. What would your reaction be? I suspect you would think the poster was at best using racist imagery to make her point.

13. It was extremely rude, condescending, and if you look at the "tickers" that
followed people's reactions, the line went totally below flatlining when she did that.

She became "Debbie Downer".. the person no one wants to listen to or let into their parties, or dreams. At one point I thought she was accusing JE of being responsible for Nataline's death, until he interrupted her. She was truly herself tonight.. inhuman, cold, calculating, shrill, angry and out of control. Like a spoiled child who is really pissed off that she isn't getting her way. "You're either with me or against me"... sound familiar?

32. Believe it Blue Jay. It's starting to get really ugly around here.
I watched that exchange and I will say it again, I am not a Hillary supporter, and I saw her stopping the use of what we all know is a screwed up health care system rant by Edwards and Obama and trying to throw in her considered dose of reality. Not saying she was right or wrong in what she said just that it didn't have a darn thing to do with Obama mentioning his mother's cancer specifically. I bet almost everyone on this board has had a family member fight the health care system while fighting cancer. This is how it's going to be for the next, god, I don't know how long. It will remind me of DU/Freeper fighting. I'm not sure I can take it.

31. LOL...Edwards and Obama both, can make really stupid statements...
and both get a pass. Gotta really hate these uppity women for forgetting their 'real' place in society. Hillary really has a nerve, attacking these two stalwart males doesn't she.

Lessee, if Obama got 40% of the Iowa caucus, and Edwards got 30% of the caucus, then together(and they apparently did work together in this debate(tag team), then Obama/Edwards are running at 70% of the caucus results.

So now its 70% from Iowa for the 'boys' and 30% from Iowa for the upstart.

The original 40 + 30 indicated that one of the 30s had to go. The guys are working on it. Just simple math, nothing fancy.

Why else would obama be talkin about his dead mother at a political function?

No what is repulsive is everyones reaction and rapt attention to this staged circus,
that and the fact that obamas team thought it ok to play the dead card for compassion points
and political gain.

It's all a show, all scripted entertainment, that's all. Nothing is said off the cuff or off script
