What do you guys think about Obama/Hillary?
I think Hillary could be a kickass VP. She's good on foreign policy and she would be an excellent person to send to other countries to talk to their leaders. She's also tenacious, and I could see her putting together something like a health care plan or similar project very effectively.

:)

3. If Barack Obama selects Hillary Clinton...
I will feel so betrayed by Obama.

I cannot see that happening though. They don't seem to like
each other.

Plus, I don't think Hillary jives with Obama's agenda and I can't imagine her taking a backseat
as vp.

I don't like questions like this. They force you to scenario very unpleasant situations that most likely
will never happen.

It's like asking someone, "Imagine for a second...what it would feel like to slide down a razor banister into
a vat of lemonade?" Ouch.

I'm not criticizing you for asking the question. It's just a painful question. I asked the same thing on here
before, when DeLay said that Hillary would get the nomination and select Obama as her running mate.

8. this could have happened if
hillary didn't pull all the under-handed attacks on him. having a staffer bring up his kindergarten papers, or suggesting that he's a muslim, or that he was selling coke; all this makes her look evil. no one thinks this is accidental. you don't see staffers from other campaigns pulling this stuff. it looks calculated, and it has alienated her from the rest of the candidates. not one of them would want her as a vice president.

9. When Sen. Clinton stated months ago......
that she was in it (the race) to win it, I think she really meant it!

Also, if Sen. Obama or Sen. Edwards wins the nom, do you really think they would be able to handle being constantly linked to an ICON of the 90s (Pres. Bill Clinton) in their era of "change"?

11. I am so sorry I feel this way, but I wouldn't trust the Clintons
not to try to undermine a President Obama.

I didn't used to feel that way. I defended them both for years, but watching Bill blame this one and that one, and having read a little more about them in the last six years - I just don't have faith they wouldn't put themselves first.

And I hate that I feel that way.

17. The chances of Obama offering the VP to Hillary
are only slightly better than the chance of Hillary accepting. The chances of Michael Moore winning the Texas REPUBLICAN primary as a write-in are better than both.

18. LOL
they do not like eachother. DId you see the handshake and awkward backslap he gave her?

I would lose all respect for Obama if he put her on ticket. Also, I don't think she would ever settle for VP.

19. Hillary on the ticket in any capacity is unacceptable.
I can deal with any combination of Obama, Edwards, Richardson or Kucinich. Though I would prefer Dennis at the top of the ticket, of course.

21. Hillary, Barack's VP???
Please don't insult her!!! Why should she be remotely interested in taking second place to a guy who hasn't even been in the senate long enough to warm up his seat.

22. In a different era this would actually be quite likely
People used to pick the VP usually in order to bring over a certain constituency of the party that wasn't too wild about them, often because of their geography but not always. Dukakis/Bensten was the last time we saw this at least in part

Beginning with Clinton, the party has been pretty comfortable with whoever is nominated and VP's are chosen to appeal outside of the party not within. Clinton picked Gore to re-enforce his own strengths, Gore picked Lieberman to run away from Clinton, and Kerry picked Edwards to add youthful energy to the ticket.

If Obama gets the nomination the party will be firmly behind him, despite some initial irritation by Clinton supporters.

24. NO. No No No No No No No No...........
Hillary doesn't seem to be the type of person who likes to take orders from anyone.. she's had a thought that this would be her JOB, and she isn't about to settle for 2nd place.

Obama would throw away 1/2 of the Repub / Indie votes he has worked so hard to collect if he were to do that.

Obama/Edwards? Yes.. along with almost any of the other 2nd tier candidates.. but NOT CLINTON!
