There are 4051 delegates for the 2008 Democratic Convention
2026 are needed to win the nomination.

Iowa has only 57 delegates.

174 delegates will be allocated by Feb 5th

2062 delegates will be allocated on Feb 5th

1. That fact seems to be getting lost in the haze. Obama has a two-delegate lead on Hillary.
And, yet, many are declaring that she's "finished" and the race is over.

2. Yup, Iowa's not about delegates, it's about getting momentum to grab the large amounts of delegates
that come later.
