A Vital Campaign Issue That Is Completely Ignored
I have not heard one person ask any of our candidates what their philosophy will be concerning appointments to the Court*. The next President will make appointments to the Supreme Court, probably 2 early on in his or her first term. This matter may do more to influence the future of the country than any other thing the next President does. Got any thoughts on it?

* One candidate has said they would make no appointments of any judge who, when asked, did not support Roe v. Wade.

1. Honestly....
I don't think this needs to be asked. Some things should be a given....like any of our candiates appointing liberal judges.

2. You assume any of the "likely" candidates are liberal
As far as I've seen, they are corporatists, and are far more likely to appoint judges sympathetic to a corporate and fascist agenda rather than judges who will support personal rights or any other part of the liberal agenda.

3. I think that most of the Democratic candidates that the corporations
will allow to be elected are afraid that bringing up judges plays into the right-wing's hands. Both Clinton and Obama seem to want to run away from any "liberal" tag that might stick to them. At least IMO...
