I want a lot of Republicans to vote in the Democrat Iowa elections
I would be lying to you if I told you I want Republicans to stay away from the caucuses. I think Obama represents the best of the Democratic party, and I despise republicans, but what comes first is winning the nomination. Polls indicate that Republicans, for whatever reason, overwhelmingly support Obama, and many of them wish to vote in the Democratic caucuses.

They are welcome.

Obama '08.

We need unity in this nation.
And they wouldn't be choosing him. They would be helping chose him if the results are close.

7. Its "Democratic Iowa elections" to everyone but Freeps and Greens.....
We don't hold "Democrat" elections, we hold "Democratic" elections. Most people here understand the difference and why using "Democrat Iowa elections" is a slur against us.

13. Republicans support Obama...
Republicans support Obama over Giuliani. They don't want a President who is pro-choice and supports gay rights.

Republicans support Obama over Huckabee. They don't want a President who takes the side of the people against the corporations and the insurance industry.

15. If people are waking up to reality
and realizing the Democratic Party isn't what the right wing nuts have been saying, well then that's a good thing. The only way you can shift red states to blue states is with more Democrats. We can hope a portion of the people Obama is bringing in will learn more and reject the propaganda of the past.

16. Polls show that? What polls? I've seen no polls that indicate that.
Methinks you are supporting Clinton or Edwards.

17. I don't want Republicans voting in our primaries
I don't even want indy's to have that choice. One of the perks to registering as a Democrat should be deciding who the nominee of the party will be. We can count on more loyal Democrats to vote D in the GE even if they're favorite doesn't get the nod, we can't count on Indy's or Republicans to do the same.
