I'm surprised not to see Biden up on second choices. I haven't seen the polling data yet, though.

Sen. Hillary Clinton leads with 31%, followed by John Edwards and Barack Obama at 24% each.

This looks like it:

1. those numbers are irrelevent
the precincts where clinton, edwards, or obama will not reach viability will be few and far between.

The big story is where richardson, bifen, dodd, kucinich's supporters are going. Because those precincts where those supporters will be viable will be few and far between.

2. Yeah, I wish they had showed those
Really, all of the polls being taken now are probably not worth much. Anyway, we will know in only a few days.

7. If the 50% to Edwards holds
true for the other candidates the way it is for Obama and Clinton, then Edwards is in very very good shape.

4. But, I read here that Hillary was NOT anyone's second choice.
Yeah, I take everything posted on this forum as gospel.

5. I don't find the 2nd choice numbers surprising at all. Hillary seems a bit high in the 1st choice
poll but not outside the margin of error of where I'd expect her to be.

8. hopefully Biden will get into double digits and lock a solid 4th...
with slightly increasing numbers in NH it should carry him to Super Tuesday, by which time the MSM will be unable to ignore him nd the issues of Foreign Policy, the economy, and the war will have firmed up. 30-40 more days of worsening economy will push it up the scale and I think Biden will show as well in that category as in the Foreign policy area.

All is smoke! the solid ephemeral.
