Endorsement: Joe Biden for President – He can Unite America and the World
He can Unite America and the World

by Rev. Robert Vinciguerra

<In this election cycle there is a chance to make history. The first woman president, the first African American president; the chance to solve poverty, the chance to end a war. What it all comes down to is, ‘What’s the highest priority?’

If the answer is that ending the war in Iraq with a victory, and bringing the troops home in a way that secures the region, while at the same time restores America’s image in the world, is the most important thing that the next president must do, then the only man or woman qualified for the job is undoubtedly, unquestionably, and undeniably Joe Biden.
Joe Biden for President: Endorsement>

snip

<Joseph R. Biden, Jr. is the senior senator from Delaware. Elected to office at the age of 29, he is one of the youngest senators ever elected. Over his career, he faced many challenges both political and personal, and he as overcome them all.

When Biden was elected to the US Senate, he faced a popular incumbent republican. Everyone, including Joe Biden, was surprised when he won at the polls.>

snip

<As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, in 1987 Biden committed his life and energy to successfully defeating Robert Bork’s nomination to the Supreme Court.>

snip

<Today, as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Joe Biden is the most trusted authority on international affairs on both sides of the isle.>

snip

<oe Biden has a singular quality that no other candidate running for President possesses: The proven experience to lead by developing bold ideas and multilayered solutions for the increasingly complex and multifaceted problems that America and the world face today.>

snip

<Join me in casting a vote for Joseph R. Biden, Jr. of Delaware; the one man who honestly knows how to do what’s right. Just ask Hillary, Edwards and Obama, “Joe’s Right!”>

4. Yes he can.
He's met most of today's world leaders due to his position as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and they call him for information and advice during times of need. In addition, he's been negotiating with senators and members of congress for 35 years; he's got the required skills and experience to handle the demands of the presidency from his first day in office.

7. These are many of the same reasons I decided to support Biden.
We need a rational, sane, pragmatic leader who can actually accomplish something without partisan bickering, stonewalling, and automatic left or right side of the aisle voting. I see him as the only one who has a shot at doing this.

Let's face it. We have some very serious work that needs to be done to restore this country to what it is supposed to be. We don't have the luxury of time. There is an urgent need for change, and there is no room for distractions. Again, I see Biden as the only candidate that can get down to business without the distractions that surround the "top three".

Is he a perfect candidate? Has he always voted the way I wanted him to? Do I agree with every word that comes out of his mouth? Hell, no. But, I believe he is honest, well-intentioned, and would work his tail off for We the People, We the Nation, and We the World.

He is the candidate for change, and I believe he can make it happen.

8. Yes, I think it is time for the American people to grow up
and pick a leader, a real leader who they can trust. People tend to treat everything as a game in this country. Elections just become another sporting event and the consequences of that mindset can be devastating as we've seen the last seven years.
