Presidential Profiles: Biden, Dodd languish at back of pack
BY JAKE THOMPSON
WORLD-HERALD BUREAU

WASHINGTON — When his leadership crisis struck this fall, whom did Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf call first?

Not President Bush.

He rang up an old ally and one of America's foreign policy aces: Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden.

And last week, who left the campaign trail to block legislation giving telephone companies legal immunity for turning over data to the government without warrants?

Not the high-profile senators in the race. It was Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd.

In the U.S. Capitol's marble hallways and beyond, Biden and Dodd stand tall. But in the 2008 presidential campaign, the Democratic hopefuls strain to be heard.

FULL story at link.

2. Biden, like all the candidates, has votes I don't like. However, I think he would be a great Pres.
and a great candidate. Our best general election candidate, imo.

3. My vote will probably go to one of these guys...
Can't write Gore on the ballot in my state so one of these guys is IT for me. Remember John Kerry was polling pretty low prior to the primaries last time too. I picked him the December before too.

http://onevote08.org/candidatesvideos/ is very enlightening as to showing which candidates have ***actual ideas*** about how to address some of the problems we are facing in the next several years and which ones are blowing massive amounts of smoke.

4. That's why I support Biden. He's the best in the whole field, IMO
Not that the others are bad..we have plenty of good candidates, but Biden is head and shoulders above them all IMO.

5. why aren't the big established democrats endorsing them?
I understand that money is an issue. But, these guys have been known by everyone in politics for years. Why are they not aiding their campaigns? It is an issue for me.
