Nader Admits Difficulty Getting on Ballot
WASHINGTON - Ralph Nader (news - web sites) acknowledged Monday that it will be difficult to get his name on the ballot in all 50 states in his independent bid for the presidency.

Nader, whom Democrats blame for costing Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites) the election in 2000, lacks major party support or resources for his candidacy that has riled the Democratic Party. Unlikely to get the Green Party nomination, he faces an uphill battle to get on the ballot, which requires money and signatures.

The first target is Texas, where Nader needs 65,000 signatures in a 60-day period from voters who are not participating in the Democratic or Republican primaries.

3. if he only gets on the ballot in 15-20 states...
Will he quit his bid, or just run in those states?

6. He Is In This To Win the Election (for Bush)
and bring about the demise of the Democratic party.
The resulting demise of Roe v. Wade and the creation of
a theocracy in America don't seem to concern him.

He only needs to be on the ballot in the swing states.

He doesn't need anyone to actually vote for him.
Diebold will give him a bunch of our votes if he is
on the ballot.

4. good. waste his time in Texas
Nader won't matter there, and it'll take awhile to get on the ballot.

5. Getting on the ballot is only the first of a series of problems....
...getting non-Bush votes counted at all is the next one.

7. Exactly
He will have difficulty getting on all the ballots, which makes all the people here going into fits about him running for president all the more asinine.
