Best presidential preferential poll yet. Which candidate do you agree with.
This poll rates a candidates positions to yours. Mike Gravel, we were a perfect match. Clinton only 50%. Don't let rating organizations compare a candidates to their views. Why not compare that candidate to your position.

2. I had a perfect match with Gravel too.
I know practically nothing about him. I don't like this poll very much, there were too many questions that I had to fudge because it over simplified. Have you tried http://www.glassbooth.com?

7. There are also meta-issues this poll does not factor in
Edited on Thu Dec-20-07 07:36 AM by Perky
For instance:

I want a candidate who can change the way Washingto works

I want a candidate with vision

I want a new generation of leadership
I want one that inspires.

Those are issues as equal or more important than any single issues or this laundry list.,

THe list is also too short One question on education? no question on three strikes?...the wiretapping question is squirrely.. (I oppose illegal wiretapping, not all wiretapping)

10. Let me tell you a little bit about Gravel
The man is a hero. A Senator from Alaska in the late 60's early 70's he fillibustered against the Vietnam war in the Senate.

He lives in Arlington, Virginia now. Sometimes people on this board dis Gravel and it makes me really angry, I wish we had someone half as courageous in the Senate today.

15. He is truly an American hero
who gets little credit for what he did years ago. He may come across as a grumpy old man today, but his accomplishments were history-shaping.

country.

America has turned into a police state and big brother society for the sake of greed.

35. If that it your view you will be dissapointed always.
No President Republican or Democrat van give his base what they want....You would be lucky to get one-quarter of what he "stands for"

It is the nature of politica. and if that is not your cup of tea then perhaps you would also be in favor of the unitary executive theory

13. There's some interesting stuff there.
A lot of people support the death penalty. It's overall negative, but not nearly as negative as other issues. At the same time, there's heavy support for universal health care.

Followed by Obama, Clinton, Edwards, Dodd, and Biden.

In other tests that cover a broader range of issues, Richardson usually comes out on top for me followed by Kucinich. This test only covered hot button topics and not more general issues. It didn't seem like that good of a test to me.
