Green Bay Council's moratorium on religous displays doesn't include Creche

Because a "vandal" took down the Wiccan pentacle.

The Festivus Pole that was slated for installation never got put up. And the Green Bay Chapter of the Pastafarians never came through with a display.

With a pagan Wiccan wreath knocked off the roof by a vandal early Monday, a Christian nativity creche was the lone symbol left.

Schmitt said the wreath would not be reinstalled until the City Council weighed in on draft guidelines.

Fradette and Schmitt invited non-Christian religions to submit displays, and the city has received at least six such requests. The pagan Wiccan five-pointed star was the second such display, which was added Friday.
