We've overcome an extraordinary amount of bigotry (including in the lower categories). We're not where we should be, but it's a whole different ball game. I wish they had listed Muslim, which I expect would be somewhere beneath atheist. My uncle married a Puerto Rican Catholic woman in the late 1940s. You would have thought it was the end of everything, the family, the country, the world, the universe. They're still together and nobody remembers the bias against her had ever existed.
