the United States! They are directly blocking any efforts that are being attempted in Bali with respect to Global warming. It's time to turn the table against Bush and his cronies.

Let them sign a treaty that includes sanctions against non-participants; then we'd have to buy our way out of the sanctions in addition to signing up to the reduction requirements.

are committing on their own to reduce carbon emissions as are many cities. In addition the Congress is working to pass bi-partisan legislation. Both Gore and Kerry were well received and both were involved in suggesting how the Bali treaty could work. Rather than a thread like this - why did DU show almost no interest in threads on Gore's and Kerry's news conferences/speeches here? Both are serious policy wonks working hard to lobby for solutions.
