Who would have thunk it. Supporters of Obama, who claimed to hate those who see their favorite candidate as "inevitable", are now posting threads such as "I think Obama has it sewn up" now. They tell you that Hillary is doomed and that Obama's surge is unstoppable.
I wouldn't have a problem with that, if you didn't pretend you hated the inevitability tune played by Clintonites.

3. I have yet to see an Obama supporter say anything is inevitable...
What I HAVE said (and some others) is that he may have Iowa wrapped up because he's peaking at the right time. This Oprah thing should carry him into the Holidays and he'll be on top when the caucus comes around. I HOPE he wins the nomination...but the only people claiming inevitability are Clinton supporters. At least they used to...

6. Hillary and Obama supporters are so funny.
I wish Edwards supporters would lose their minds also so this could be a 3 ring circus.

8. Your the over confident one here
You think that this is HRC election, and even if Barack wins Iowa and NH, she still easily wins.

10. I'm an anti-imperialist too, just think Obama the best POSSIBLE prez
Of course, Obama 'supporters' reified as a single monolithic entity, are not going to be "consistent". Some individuals may be consistent.

As an Obama supporter I would TOTALLY warn anyone about thinking Obama is inevitable -- it leads to complacency AND DEFEAT. But I think he DOES have a real shot (electorally -- although then there's national machine politics), and that position has been consistent

13. Let's get real
Neither Obama nor Clinton is electable. That is exactly why the MSM has portrayed this as a 2-person race from the start.

There are way too many Clinton haters for her to ever get elected. The corporate media know this which is exactly why they created that aura of inevitability for her.

I have given Obama money and am glad he is running. But in an electorate that has been 51/49 the last decade, you cannot win with a black man. There are way too many racists to tip that scale. Again, corporate media knows this and that is why they cover their bet with Hillary with the "if not the witch, how about the black guy?" position.

There are only two candidates in this race on our side why can win this election and they are Biden and Edwards. That's the practical reality, folks. We need to get our heads out of our arses and back the guys who can actually win the thing.

14. Give it a rest about a black man not being able to win already! Not
everyone in this country is racist! 40+ years ago, a Catholic couldn't win.

21. In an election that wil probably be decided by 1m votes
I guarantee you there are a lot more racists than that. Yes,, most of the racists will be voting for the GOP anyway, but there are plenty of "mild racists" if such a term could be used to tip the election. A "mild racist" is a person who tries to avoid using the n-word, and sort of supports affirmative action, but is not nearly ready to vote for a black man. Thre are millions of people like that who could be on our side. We cannot win the presidency without them.

Running the Oprah endorsement just makes matters worse in that regard. That is a way of Obama and Winfrey both saying, "Yeah, this really IS about race."

15. yes, let's get real- something you're not doing.
Obama and Clinton are indeed electable. Perhaps they wouldn't be at another time or against a strong repuke. But that's not the situation this cycle. People are fleeing the repuke party en masse- something not seen in years. the dem party is growing and independents are more inclined to vote democratic than repuke next year.

As for Edwards, he can win too, as can Biden. I actually think that Edwards would have the hardest time. He's the easiest for the repukes to frame. The ads write themselves.

22. The fascists are most threatened by Edwards
They would pull out all the stops to ruin him. But they would do that regardless of who the nominee is.

17. Inveitability memes are always foolish to promote
It does the candidate no good. It upsets opponents' supporters. I never like it. I haven't seen much of it from Obama supporters, so far, and I'm hoping it stays that way. It's a silly tactic. This race is wide open and once voting begins things change everywhere. It's only inevitable a Democratic candidate will win the nom.
