Hillary Clinton would lose to all major Republican White House candidates
Democrat Hillary Clinton would lose to all major Republican White House candidates, according to a hypothetical election matchup poll Monday, reversing her months of dominance over potential 2008 challengers.

The Zogby International poll was the latest sign that withering attacks on the former first lady were chipping away at her opinion poll leads just 38 days before the Iowa caucuses, the first party nominating contests

1. it's an online interactive poll.
Do you understand why that makes it dubious? If not, I'll be glad to explain it.

3. Anyone polling lower than McCain needs to just hang it up....
As much as most of the Repubs can't stand him, he's besting Hillary in the poll. Not that I am suprised, but folks need to realize she is the way the Dems will end up snatching defeat from the jaws of victory if we make her the nominee.

I see Bill Richardson as the best way to clean the GOP's clock come election day, but they have wounded themselves so much that ALMOST anyone but a GOPer will come out on top on election day. Unless, of course, we decide to piss it all away and go with Hillary. The we have fucked ourselves but good.

4. Doesnt Seem To Be An Interactive Poll
From the link:

The Zogby poll was conducted online among 9,150 likely voters across the United States between November 21 and 26, and carried a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point

However, I hope it's wrong.

9. I agree that online polls are not very reliable.
Who's online? Mostly, the young. A lot of the most reliable voters (older people) do not own computers.

10. The only reliable polls are done by random phone calls. Heck, half of this place probably DU'ed it!

12. Not surprising, given all her GE negatives. Oh, and Zogby said Mark Penn asks for his polls often...
And given the large poll sample and the very small MOE, I'd say this is a very credible poll. For more news about this poll for doubters
of its credibility, go here:

13. We all know that multiple email addresses will gain you 'multiple votes'
on online polls -- Zogby's is no different.

I'm sure no one here at DU engages in this sort of thing, but a plethora of non-Democrats would skew this poll unmercifully.

Don't kid yourself... Zogby sells his 'interactive online poll' to retailers. Can't tell you how many of his silly polls I've answered dealing with everything from hand held devices to cars. Any whisper to those clients of his that his poll is really garbage is gonna cost him cash.

Expect Zogby to defend his pocketbook.

14. No, because Zogby rotates their list so nobody knows if they're getting email or not

It runs exactly the same as the Harris poll which is almost completely commercial, used by businesses to make decisions.

15. Haven't you figured out how to get 'selected' to take them frequently?
It's all in the demographics.
