Daring Proposal? We've had 24 hour car-free cities. How about a 24 hour poll-free DU?

The 24 hour car bans are for the purpose of some fresh(er) air.

I'm not asking for a ban on anything, but just a little fresh air.

One thing that seems to be the favorite of late is to post one
poll after another about how this candidate is up x% or another
is down y% blah blah.

First off, the least important reason: I don't care.

Now, a better reason: it's too early for them to have
large relevance (they'll have some, obviously, just
because some people pay attention to them).

Now a third reason, although it won't please everybody:
the polls posted here are always posted by people who like
the results of the particular poll they are posting.

That's fine and dandy, but at this early stage, that has
as much relevance to those who feel otherwise as "the surge
is working." It's always just one side of the question.

Here's my personal agenda: I don't yet have a favorite, and
none of the polls posted are going to influence my eventual
primary voting decision--that will be determined by what comes
out of the mouths of the candidates, themselves, not the mouth
of John Zogby.

1. sign me up
I want to go back to the days when polls were rare, like once every other month!

I also want to go back to a primary season that is nice an evenly spread out from February, concluding in early June in California, like it always used to.

I want to go back to the days when debates were sponsored by the League of Women voters.
