406 to 6 in the house voted for this bill which cracks down on groups such as Code Pink, MoveOn etc. (By the way Kucinich of course, voted no)

Where is there a petition to sign and send to senators against this bill?
No one is talking about this attempt to be even tougher on free speech and label us as violent or terrorists.

See CCRJUSTICE.ORG or the Nov.20 DemocracyNow episode.

1. The problem with these bills
is they are a two-way street.

All the powers that Bush has accrued himself pass to a Democratic President as well.

2. The problem with these bills is they are ruining centuries of hard won civil rights.
I could care less which party has control.

Every ego big enough to think it should be president is capable of believing it has priviledged knowledge and judgement that justifies the misuse of the executive branch to avoid having to deal with messy democracy.

3. What I meant was these bills
could come back on conservatives who will suddenly remember things like civil rights.

4. Not if Bush declares martial law
or makes sure only conservatives stay in power, which I wouldn't put past him.

6. True, but as I say under either party it is the general citizenry that loses
its civil liberties.

I don't want ANY political leader to have the authority to interfere with my ability to be secure from warrantless searches and seizures in my home, my papers or my person.

5. Stupid Democratic
congress-idiots..:wtf: They want all the power and no power to the people. Bills like this should blowback in their collective fascist-face.
