Obama: Listen you old bat, go soak your bunions and shut up!
Now THAT would be Obama talking shit.

What I saw was nothing.

Knock it off.

I rate this up with "tipgate" on the bullshit meter.

1. Concur.
That woman was pushing--hard--for a reaction.

I'd love to see a little story on her. What's her voting history? Is she even a Democrat?

32. Oh my god ... I gotta tell ya ...
I'm off this week and just watched "Monster Zero" on DVD. Ok the english version is of course CAMP city. BUT I watched part of the Japanese w/ subtitles .... holy FUCK! The dialog is SO much better! Tetsui Terry calls that woman from Planet X that was fuckin' Glenn a BITCH!!! They fucking CUSS in the Japanese version!

I half expected the Controller from Planet X to say "Those earth people are a bunch of dumb mother fuckers!".

33. LOL
The beauty of the new DVD's is having the original Japanese versions.I had never seen it until this year myself, and that jumped right out at me too. They use "shit" in some of the newer ones, but for 1971 them using "bitch" was an eye opener.

Akira Takarada, who played the Japanese astronaut, is in six or seven Godzilla movies (and some other Toho monster movies like King Kong Escapes and Frankenstein Conquers The World) including the very last one they did in 2004, Godzilla:Final Wars. They use many of the same actors over again like our studios used to do.It's neat seeing the same dudes keep turning up as different characters.

Those earth people are a bunch of dumb mother fuckers!".

If they didn't say it I will. :D

9. That "old woman" sounded like a rip-roaring, fight-spoiling shithead to me.
And I am NOT an Obama supporter, FWIW.

I am an undecided voter who gets accused on a daily basis here by pissed off partisans of being a "shill" for one candidate or another.

34. What??? I've been extremely critical of Obama for his handling of the McChicken incident
but I would never, ever say that the man is filled with hate or that anything about him is "vicious."

Are you sure that you are in the right place? That description would better apply to Rethuglicans.

3. Do you remember that scene in "The Incredibles" where the dad
gets bombed from all sides with those sticky balls?

That's what we are seeing right now. Obama is the "inexperienced one," and the media is piling on to get him out of the race.

14. No, that isn't true either. The story about that incident was fairly covered
in the report I saw, and the woman was called a shrill, sandbagging ass, in essence.

AND the story was also balanced with the "Obama Leads In Iowa Polls" WAPO story.

Have you seen how Fox is going to cover this? I saw a clip of the MSNBC story, and they said he was almost screaming at her.

25. I don't watch Fox. The clip you saw was from GOP Joe. What do you expect?
In regular rotation they are offering a more nuanced view of the matter.

30. I have to because of my job.
Lots of people watch Fox. Just because it's blatantly slanted and often wrong doesn't mean it's not a force to contend with.

I'm glad that they are offering a more nuanced view of this. They sure as hell didn't when it was the Dean Scream or Gore the Liar.

21. One supporter doesn't equal all
Edited on Mon Nov-19-07 06:12 PM by tammywammy
I've refrained from these smear attacks against all the candidates. I find it unseemly, and think it really detracts from the real issues.

The supporters are what's making this all worse. And I mean the supporters of the various candidate that stoop to the same level as the "old blowhard" comment was.

24. And you know what else annoys the crap outta me
When there's a positive thread on a candidate for the supporters, and someone that's not a supporter just had to crap all over it.

Sigh, that's one of the things that gives me a headache over politics. Even if I'm not for Edwards, if he suddenly had a poll where he was 20 pts ahead of Clinton and Obama, I wouldn't go in there and stir up trouble, you gotta let people celebrate the little things sometimes. There are always plenty of threads for the detractors. :ahrug: But that's just my opinion.

36. She kept repeatedly interrupting Obama and blaming 9/11 on Iraq.
She was determined to push the "9/11 was caused by Saddam" line, and she kept demanding to know what Obama would do to "keep us safe" and she wanted to know if he would "kick the illegals out of the country."

Personally, if I had been there I would have been tempted to say something very rude to her. I think that Obama showed restraint.

And you know how I feel about him.
