It accused Russert of being on a partisan Republican hunt-and-destroy witch hunt.
The story didn't work as well as planned, so they switched to the gender card the
same day. When that didn't work, it was Bill's swiftboat card. Then when that didn't
work, Bill moved onto the "the boys roughed her up" card. When that didn't fly, they
called up Spitzer and forced him to recant his earlier position on illegal DLs the
day before the Las Vegas debate so she could flip flop for the fifth time on the issue.

I did find an article from The Hill the day after the debate. The article was about how Hillary's supporters reacted on a conference call and very little of it was flattering to Hillary. I don't think Hillary planted that story. There is no other story.

The Hillary forced Spitzer to recant tale is a current favorite fiction on Rush Limbaugh. Is that where you got all this? Hillary can't force Spitzer to do anything, unless you believe Rush's nonsense about a Clinton mafia sending out hit men.
