Can I get a list of the people on our side who voted for Mukasey?
I know Bill Nelson didn't (D-FL), and that really surprised me.

7. Yep!! Evan Bayh voted to accept
He just doesn't get it. Bayh doesn't have any balls to stand up for what is right.

The reason Senators were set up for 6 year terms was to provide them a bit of distance from the voters so they would be more deliberative.
