Did John McCain Really Truly say that? ( re: Smith&Wesson and Bin Laden.)

On the Colbert Report (watching the late repeat) Colbert started this hilarious thing about John McCain that I only slowly realized was true, not a joke.

Apparently McCain was speaking to a group of Smith&Wesson (the gun manufacturer) employees, and said, "I will personally hunt Osama Bin Laden down and kill him, using your products."

Granted, I'm sure McCain thought it was a light-hearted comment, but it ought to at least get a short segment on the news along the lines of, "Is John McCain crazy?"

Meanwhile, Guliani claimed today that Senators Clinton and Obama are saying they will "invite Osama (bin Laden) to the White House," Giuliani said. Funny how these bat-shit comments never lead the news. If Nixon had said that Kennedy was going to invite Kruschev to his inauguration it would have been considered the biggest story of the day, if not week.

And didn't Huckabee just say that we shouldn't have abortions because our aborted fetuses can grow up to do jobs currently done by Mexicans...? I believe he did. And again, it didn't lead the news.
