Matthews again claimed "Republicans are known as the party of national security and of moral values"

Summary: Moderator Chris Matthews asserted during the October 9 Republican presidential debate, "Polls show that Republicans are known as the party of national security and of moral values." But recent polling shows Democrats either tied or at a slight advantage against Republicans on the issue of national security, as well as holding an advantage in sharing voters' moral values.

1. Not fiscal responsibility anymore? Or the party of Lincoln? Oh well. 2 out of 4 isn't bad.

Mind you, selling off our infrastructure doesn't sound like a nationally secure idea, and moral values? Hah, that's one issue where the politicians on both sides to be far more the same than opposites!

Must be 0 out of 4 then, in true political style. :(

Isn't morality in the deed, not in the word?

9. The myth that Republicans appear strong on national security exploded on the planes on 9-11
The myth, that Republicans appear strong on national security, exploded on the planes that hit the world trade center on 9-11-2001.

The myth that Republicans appear strong on morality got flushed down the toilet in Larry Craig's stall in Minnesota in 2007.

2. Republicants have been constantly shown to be insecure self loathing homosexual hypocrites.
They hide behind national security and state secrets to hide their incompetence and criminality.

5. And they were known as such only because of their own PR.
They NEVER really were the party of moral values OR national security.

7. I'll give you Eisenhower on security
I was really only thinking of my lifetime, which began just as Ike was leaving office. Plus, I was thinking of the party in general and not just a rare, competent leader.

On the moral values thing, though: I'm pretty sure Eisenhower had a long-term affair. That doesn't bother me, but it still makes him incompatible with the folks whose idea of morality led them to go after Bill Clinton.

4. What nonsense Tweety spews
Republicans are known as the party of National Security and moral values? Huh?

So what about how the W Administration have consistently refused to provide funding for adequate Port Security?

What about the situation that invading and occupying Iraq, and constantly beating the war-drums about Iran has made things more dangerous for United States National Security?

Moral values! Lol! Yeah, I'd call Rudy Guiliani and Newt Gingrich, for instance, two GOPers with the moral values of sewer rats....yet Guiliani bizarrely is considered Presidential material by this crowd.

Another example of GOP "moral values" would be Senator David Vitter of Louisiana, a man who never fails to babble on about what a fine, upright and moral family values politician he is....and privately he's been visiting some hooker and wearing adult diapers and crapping in them and getting the hooker to wipe his ass and then give him a blow-job.

Tweety's a total moron, he often proves this everytime he opens his stupid mouth.
