Corps are trying to make Stevia illegal
Stevia which is a sweetener used around the world is trying to be made illegal to use by a corporation that has "invented" a "new sugar". How much you want to bet the FDA will knuckle under corp pressure...gutless bastards. Stevia has fewer calories and is better for a diabetic...the corp bastards can't make money enough on it so we will probably be force fed (by the FDA not allowing Stevia)this excuse for this frankenfood sugar.

1. hmm, got a link for that?
Stevia isn't even officially classified as a sugar substitute, but as a dietary supplement.

2. They use it in Japan as a sweetner... If I'm not mistaken.. I believe
even their cola products use this sweetner, rather than sugar... And if I'm not further mistaken.. you can't actually buy stevia... you can get the plant(?) So, are they so afraid of a sugar substitute like plant that is better than aspertame, that they will ban it like it was a drug... it will become like marijuana?

The Corps and Pharma would absolutely hate for people to wake up and realize that they are making us sick and the drugs are not a cure, they are an allevement of symptoms... that ususally lead to another problem and another drug and another problem and another drug... People need less work, more sun, family and friend connection, excercise, and good organic whole foods with complete nutriotional structures... GMO foods are bad for people and the pesticides that are sprayed on are the equivalent to going to the store and downing a bottle of round-up... that stuff is ingested.

I want to scream so many times.. I see moms trying to get healthy foods for their kids, all the while not realizing that bright, red shiney apple has been irridated, ripened by chemicals, and may contain a gene from anywhere. And then we wonder why obesity in America is an epidemic... Look at the grocery store... isles and isles of junk. There is not much that is in the middle isles that's worth taking your cart into... and the veggie/ fruit side is 1/4 of the store. It needs to be 1/2 the store--offering variety, local produce and exotic produce. And I have to say... Florida has some of the worst variety of produce... When I took my husband to VT in the middle of the winter, there was more variety in that small grocery store than he'd seen ever. He was absolutely amazed with the multitude of variety.

Sorry... long rant. I simply hate what our so-called protective FDA agency has allowed to pass into the mouths of the consumers. The system is corrupt and broken. And now with CODEX trying to force multiple countries into doing things they do not want to do is disgusting.. Most European countries do not allow GMO foods. Canada makes products specify if foods do contain GMO foods.. yet Monsanto rep at CODEX meeting stands up and says food labeling in not necesary and people are too stupid to read or understand it. UGH!!!!

4. Interesting info about Stevia from Wikipedia...
In 1991, at the request of an anonymous complaint, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) labeled stevia as an "unsafe food additive" and restricted its import. The FDA's stated reason was "toxicological information on stevia is inadequate to demonstrate its safety."<31> This ruling was controversial, as stevia proponents pointed out that this designation violated the FDA's own guidelines under which any natural substance used prior to 1958 with no reported adverse effects should be generally recognized as safe (GRAS).

Perhaps Coke or Pepsi is the anonymous complainer? Ya think?
