8. Really? Edwards was spot on today.
I was there. There was a moment when no one moved during Edwards speech. The crowd was riveted.

9. I think Edwards's speech was the best, closely followed by Obama.

11. Yeah, Obama was as good as Edwards

They were both equally excellent. Am I allowed to think that?

12. Of course you are!
At least you didn't put Hillary's speech in the same category!

13. On Iraq "as quickly and responsibly"
She is not talking about immediate withdrawal anymore. I'm concerned about what that means, especially with the recent Huffington post by Schoen, who is a partner to Clinton's pollster. He's opposing a unilateral withdrawal, and say "advocating such a position is bad for America and bad for the Democratic Party."

I think she is going to get into office and start talking about chaos in the region, or some other excuse to stay.

15. There's a reason she is last on my list of candidates.
We want change. We are not going to get much change with Hillary Clinton.

Wake up America!

3. my daughter called me from the steak fry

Excited that she'd just shaken Hillary's hand (although she favors Obama). She said Hillary and Obama had the biggest mobs of people surrounding them. She saw Biden too, but he had about a half dozen around him. She said there were about 6,000 people there overall.

5. Oh how cool
I had planned to go this year, but we're hoping to buy a house so I'm saving every penny. Did anybody seem to give Richardson or Biden a second look?

16. She picked a good year to intern in Ames Iowa
Edited on Sun Sep-16-07 11:16 PM by ginnyinWI
She'll be able to see all the good stuff. (her internship has nothing to do with politics--it's just a nice coincidence)

She didn't mention Richardson. She and her friends were mainly following Obama around.
