Obama v. Alan Keyes on GAY MARRIAGE circa 2004
Please to enjoy:

video: http://www.americablog.com/2007/08/self-control.html

From AmericaBLOG: "How does Obama resist the urge to just look at him and say, "You're a complete embarrassment to yourself, your party, and your country."? How is he able to sit there as this total insanity is spewed forth?"

1. I miss Alan Keyes
He always added an essence of wild eyed batshit insane quality to the Republican debates that is sorely lacking this time around.

Maybe there's a Draft Alan Keyes movement out there that will encourage him to run. We can only hope.

9. Yeah, those guys are nuts
but they don't hold a candle to Keyes. Keyes is the pinnacle of insanity. Keyes does reactionary right with such a flare. Nobody does it better.

Nobody does it better.
Makes me feel sad for the rest.
Nobody does it half as good as you.
Alan, baby, you're the best.

11. They may all say the same things more or less
But they don't sound like Marvin the Martian when they do it. That's the Alan Keyes magic.

4. The funny thing --
is that Keyes was RECRUITED to run against Obama.

No worries. Batshit crazy is considered a commodity by the GOP.

17. Yes, there IS such a movement!
And Keyes himself has said if he gets enough support he WILL enter the race!

I've told my supporters — who, by the way, are undertaking this effort on their own — that if they can demonstrate sufficient grassroots support for me to run, I will do so," Keyes commented."

Keep your fingers crossed! :applause:

3. Wonderful show!! I haven't laughed that hard in a while...
Seriously.

We know Alan Keyes is back at it, right? He's trying to spearhead a "grass roots" movement to get HIMSELF drafted...as a candidate for president. I, for one, am firmly on board with his effort. He'll fit in nicely with with the happy band of fools Ghouliani, Mittens, Swamp Thing, Huckleberry, etc...

On edit: All Dem candidates believe in equal treatment under the law. I realize it's not nirvana but it's a much better shake than what the GOP has in mind.

8. So wait, if marriage is about procreation...
Do we ban elderly couples from marrying? I mean, obviously the odds of a 70-year old having a child is remote, so why should they get married at all? What about people that can't have children. I know women that don't have the means to have a child, or men that -- like Hank Hill -- have a narrow uritha!

Hell, what about couples that don't want to have children? My aunt married in her 40s and she doesn't plan on having children either, so should we void that marriage?

13. maybe a banjo might help you understand how the GOP thinks on this
Edited on Sun Aug-26-07 09:08 PM by AtomicKitten
Declaring I'm not of the gay tribe, many people are upset that the three front-runners don't support gay marriage but (1) this is an election and (2) the GOP is a real freakshow. I hope some people re-examine this. In my opinion and, again, I'm no expert to say the least, but common sense and stepping back a bit seems to make the choice and picture clear.

10. here in northern illinois
Edited on Sun Aug-26-07 03:42 PM by madrchsod
obama got more votes than kerry...republicans voting for obama or just not voting? who knows but it really is funny. keyes and his backers killed what was left of the republican party in illinois and the republicans still have`t recovered from the loss. if they would have still backed jack ryan they would have had a better chance against obama...oh,well thier loss is illinois and the nation`s gain

14. Oh, we had fun with Keyes. Obama hated having to debate this clown
you could tell it in his eyes and face in this debate.
It was a riot.
I do remember actually seeing a few Keyes signs in some yards.
that was when the republican party knew for sure it had completely imploded here.
Illinois was a harbinger of what happened to the gop countrywide in 06.

16. If one reflects on the GOP, it is a veritable freakshow --
Loved it when Gary fell off the stage flipping pancakes in 2004.

It was fabulous.
