Fox News Changes Wikipedia Entry
This is unreal....a whole new low.

http://radar.oreilly.com/archives/2007/08/wikipedia_is_on.html

Finding out that someone from the Fox News network changed this:

The lawsuit focused a great deal of media attention upon Franken's book and greatly enhanced its sales. Reflecting later on the lawsuit during an interview on the <[National Public Radio>] program ''<[Fresh Air>]'' on <[September 3>], <[2003>], Franken said that Fox's case against him was "literally laughed out of court" and that "wholly (holy) without merit" is a good characterization of Fox News itself.

1. How precious.
I'll bet they wet themselves with glee over that one.

2. Here's the edit history of this 'anonymous' user
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/12.167.224.228

This person...

- Removed a paragraph from the Keith Olbermann article about writing a baseball book as a kid. Also removed other positive things about him and replaced it with their own 'fair and balanced' material:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Keith_Olbermann&diff=prev&oldid=25359733

- Has problems spelling 'liberal':

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brit_Hume&diff=prev&oldid=58834244

- Removed some stuff about Shepard Smith's arrest and his on-air 'blowjob' gaffe:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Shepard_Smith&diff=prev&oldid=25291384

- Knows exactly how long CNN 'X'ed' out Dick Cheney's face:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=CNN&diff=prev&oldid=30500170

Pretty damn pathetic if you ask me.

4. International Republican Institute
I've seen an "anon" from the IRI (which was created by and is funded by the US government to fund right-wing political parties outside of the US), remove factual information from the IRI page on wiki (the IRI is illegally meddling in the affairs of other countries, and they remove that information on their page). The IP traced to the IRI using Arin.net. However, they stopped using the anon method of editing, and now have regular accounts.

Wikipedia is full of right-wing editors btw. It is just that some of them are being paid by US taxpayers to peddle propaganda on Wikipedia, like the IRI guy!

7. Yep.
There is a right-winger by the screen name of Crockspot who is vigilant in keeping the entry on DU on a negative slant.
