2. What is up with all the religious crap on Time and Newsweak?
I was just in a waiting room and every news rag in there had a God story on the cover? Does that really sell magazines, or is there another agenda at work?

3. well, whatever agenda
this Preacher had in agreeing to the piece has been sidetracked by the Devil's Horns they put on him. Truth be told, I'd rather have religion on the cover than Paris Hilton.

5. Christianity and Islam
Edited on Fri Aug-10-07 01:39 PM by EVDebs
Christianity came to grips with secular economics by legitimizing charging of interest, which is an ethical 'weak link' since it seems to condone usury

Islam prohibits charging of usury but secularly it allows a corrupt form of it to exist despite the prohibition which is an ethical weak link

The rest nowadays is superfluous: how many angels can dance on the head of a pin ? As Arafat would say, who has the greater imaginary friend ?
