Obviously, presidential candidate John Edwards doesn't trust Rupert Murdoch's Fox News. Fine. A lot of people are wary of Murdoch and his media properties.
But where does the former U.S. senator turn to keep up with his current events? The papers? The Internet? TV? Radio? Comedy Central? Does he just eavesdrop on other people to learn what's going on in the world?
Edwards on Thursday urged his fellow Democrats to try to stop the merger of Murdoch's News Corp. and Dow Jones & Co., arguing Fox News and other Murdoch outlets are unfair when it comes to them and their party.

Edwards urged Democrats to try to thwart Murdoch's acquisition of The Wall Street Journal's parent two days after Murdoch finally wore down the resistance of the controlling Bancroft family and secured the support needed to at last take Dow Jones.
That is three months after the world—at least most of it—first learned of Murdoch's $5 billion offer.
It's all well and good to protest Murdoch's attempt to take over the Journal and all the other goodies in the Dow Jones portfolio. But if you really want to stop something, shouldn't you raise a ruckus before it's all but a done deal, not after your nemesis has succeeded in a months-long battle to overcome the biggest obstacle he faces?
