John Edwards Raised $3.4K In Ten Days!!
Maybe not the highest numbers ever, but a GREAT big PUSH and over the top!!

Over 60,500 donors too! Don't know if that's only in the last 10 days, but that's close to the last count I got!

Good on you Edwards!

1. PSST: Isn't that 3.4M?

I could raise 3.4K in an hour as a politician, and I'm crazy.

2. 3.4 K ($3,400) in 10 days doesn't seem like much.
Did you mean 3.4 MILLION?

3. Kudos!
Although I presently plan to vote for Obama in the Primaries, I would consider it an honor to vote for John Edwards as our President if he is The Democratic Nominee. Best Regards, SnF. :hi:

9. Info I Received From David Bonior This AM! Got A Later Update
a little while ago. But this is the first one. I'll post the last one after this. I know there are certain rules about how much you can post at one time.

From Bonior:
Here at headquarters in Chapel Hill, all hands are on deck pushing to reach our goal of $9 million by midnight tonight. (You can give online until midnight in YOUR local time zone.)

I'm looking at volunteers burning up the phone lines, staff processing checks, talking to the press, poring over data—and pretty much everyone refreshing the Web site every five minutes to see how we're doing.

Twelve hours left. This is it—there's no "later" this time. We're so close to hitting our goal, and your contribution—no matter how big or small—could be the one that puts us over the top. Please give what you can:

Ten days ago, we put our campaign in your hands. We did the math, and told you that to stay on target we'd need to raise $9 million by midnight tonight. That day we had almost $3.4 million to go, and no one knew if it was even possible. Today, as I write this, we only have $137,046 to go. We can do it.

Over 60,000 contributors this quarter alone have gotten us so close. Now we are counting on you to take one more step and help us cross the finish line before midnight in your local time zone.

He's doesn't have to dis his opponents like some of the other men are doing to Hillary.

10. Here's The Last Email I Got From The Campaign... Almost 100,000 Donors!
WE DID IT!

At 8:51 p.m. a $10 dollar contribution from Janet, of Clayton, Indiana put us over the $9 million dollar mark for the second quarter.

And here's something else incredible: It turns out Janet was the 95,212th person to contribute to the campaign—so we only need 4,788 new donors to hit 100,000 total contributors before the midnight filing deadline!

If you haven't contributed yet—this is your moment. $5. $10. Whatever you can spare. Please keep this momentum going and help us hit the huge milestone of 100,000 donors when the eyes of the country are on us:

www.johnedwards.com/action/contribute/ring-the-bell

(Remember, your online donation will still beat the deadline if it comes in before midnight in your local time zone.)

Thanks to you, we now know this campaign will enter the next phase with the resources to compete. No matter what they throw at us, John Edwards' message of substance will break through to voters in Iowa, New Hampshire, and key states all over the country—and that's all we need to win.

This achievement belongs to everyone who believed. It belongs to those who believed that civility and courage could overcome fear and hate, to those who believed in standing up for what was right, and to those who believed that small change from Americans adds up to big change for America.

So in the few hours and minutes remaining, let's hit that 100,000 contributors mark and take another giant step towards the one America that we all believe—that we all know—we can build together.

12. I like him
I would like to help him out but I'm keeping my powder dry (no actual irony intended) for when Gore comes into the race. I only have so much money to give and all of my money and my time will go to Gore.

13. I'm glad he reached his goal!
I want him to stay competitive in the race to the very end. And I don't want to see any media snark about how Edwards (or anyone else) is failing to meet their fundraising goals.
