In order to help everyone keep track of the returns from Nevada, please post all updates in this official thread. Please do not start a bunch of other results threads, as they will just make people confused.

INSTRUCTIONS

Please put the most important information from each update in the SUBJECT LINE of your post, so the returns are easy to follow. Include the percent of precincts reporting, followed by the first three or four candidates in order. Kinda like this:

00% reporting - Candidate A 00%, Candidate B 00%, Candidate C 00%, Candidate D 00%

I just came back from the caucus here in Reno - it was packed!

Interesting fact: in the 2000 primaries of NV, a statewide total of 1,082 ballots were cast. This year, in Washoe County alone (Reno / Sparks / Tahoe area) no less than 1,508 ballots were cast!

Folks, this can be done, this should be done and this will be done: Bush OUT in November!

I'm extatic... Never has there been such a HUGE turnout at the Dem caucus as this year. Several Republicans came forward and announced that they switched to registered Democrat - at the caucus! I think that's very significant, in this GOP stronghold, to make that public statement.

Officials had to turn several hundred people away as the gym reached its capacity of 2,800, a local crowd the likes of which Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., said she hasn't seen in decades. Thousands are expected to take part in today's caucuses, with the bulk of voters and Kerry hitting Chaparral High School.
There were only a thousand people expected. Nevadans are extremely pissed off, and I really had no idea how many felt that way until last night.

I imagine many of us would have gone to see Kucinich, Sharpton, Dean, etc, too, if they had even bothered with the Silver State (and even when a politician DOES come to Nevada, they never leave Clark County). Bush might just be the best thing to happen to the Democratic Party, especially in a state like Nevada, where our party has been on its death bed for ten damn years.
