1. And what?
We run a primary against a guy like Harkin, who has done more for the Dems and progressives during his tenure than most?

No thank you.

2. Hmmm. Coleman didn't vote.
I wonder if he's at all concerned about Al Franken running against him. Hmmmm...

3. What if your Democratic Senator is up for re-election, running against a bush like republican?
In that case unless another Democrat is chalenging your Senator in the primaries, you don't have much choice

4. Kerry grew some balls finally and Durbin can eat it
I would have just abstained like Coleman - or just voted No.

7. Durbin was up for reelection in 2002, too
He's already shown he has the guts. He has nothing to prove here. He is opposed to defunding and that's how he voted.

8. I note that quasi-anti-war guy Hagel voted YEA
which goes to show that he really does support the illegal invasion and occupation. :grr:

10. No, he doesn't--he has always said that he would not support defunding.
How can you pin that on him when Webb, Durbin, Biden, Feinstein and Reid all voted yea? I dont' support defunding either--as a constituent, I am OK with his vote (and Ben Nelson's, too).
