3. Hey, Chimpy, how's that unitary executive thing working out?
And does the phrase "hoist by his own petard" mean anything to you?

8. No, it means nothing to him:
after all, it has "big" words, hard words, like "hoist" and "petard." ;-)

4. Not quite yet.
They learned from Nixon: Don't go. No matter what anybody says, park your ass and stay put.

Impeachment is the only way to remove a functionary without honor. So, they're daring us to impeach. They figure that Clinton's frivolous impeachment innoculated them so all they have to do is stick out their tongues and go NA NA NA. Because we're so impotent.

Are we? We'll see.

5. I think Bush still has plenty of power left
The Democrats are afraid to push him too hard, especially on Iraq. And I think the Republicans are better at framing a debate than the Democrats are.

7. No, Chris, we're not seeing simple erosion:
we're seeing the formation of a Grand Canyon!

9. There's just so much defense these guys can play.
They've got problems on a dozen fronts. They've lost the clear majority of Americans. Every day the call for impeachment grows louder and the Democrats grow bolder in their investigations. Frankly, I doubt they make it to the finish line intact. Something is going to bring this house of cards down and when it happens, it will be spectacular.

10. And I'm guessing the GOP is okay with that
After all, they've probably kicked away the presidency for the next two or three election cycles, and in 2016 or 2020, the young federalists who are just cutting their teeth now will be primed and ready to have another go at their unitary executive fascist power grab about then. In the meantime, the Democratic presidents who serve for the next eight or 12 years will be badly hobbled by folks suspicious of too much power vested in the Executive, not to mention the baying hounds of the rabid right, who are ready to bark "Stalin" at the slightest provocation, real or imagined.
