48 Hours of Americana

I am away for all of 48 hours and the shite appears to be hitting the rather already dirty fan. Let me first say that as an American running about in a third world country, I am not making many friends. The dislike for the United States is palpable, to the point where I am speaking Russian to avoid trouble. I managed to find a sort of Internet cafe - sort of, more like a pizza shop/bank/town hall with a bars on the windows. The people are lovely - I will write more about my trip when I get back. For obvious reasons, I prefer to not delve into too much detail until then.

So, finally having managed to get access to news, I was shocked as to what has transpired in the last 48 hours.

From what I have been able to quickly read through, seem the White House has been busy "shredding" evidence of purge-gate (and likely many more scandals). One of my favorite writers, Kurt Vonnegut, died and something that could have easily emerged from Welcome to the Monkey House, women are will soon be able to produce their own sperm and self-procreate.

While the White House is busy with high crimes, the Bush administration did manage to make time to turn to Czarist Russia for help with the Iraq war. I have an idea, let's appoint a Bush and Cheney family watch czar, you know, to keep watch over the syndicate.

In the meantime, since we have no Bush-Cheney Watch czar, the syndicate is now reaching out further into the banking record of the EU (because what better way to blackmail, bribe, or "adjust" the banking records of political leaders?). Perhaps we might focus such zeal for tracking companies and individuals toward Saudi Arabia and Pakistan? Somehow I don't think the SWIFT program has anything to do with the war on terror, I could be wrong, but politics and power are all this administration will ever be known for, and with good reason.
