Who should take Imus's spot on MSNBC?
My vote goes for Stephanie Miller. Not that MSNBC will even replace Imus.

7. Do you really think that they are going to put someone on
like Stephanie or Randi?? How funny. They just got rid of a Bush/Cheney/Iraq War loud spoken critic and they are not going to replace him with anything remotely progressive. KO is all we are going to get. Just cuz Imus is gone does not mean they have suddenly gone progressive on us...Exactly the opposite. The corporate big shots who love Bush for making them richer are not very tolerant of anyone who criticizes like Imus did. Just my opinion.

8. If a Democrat gets a position during that
time slot, I will be amazed. At least one that can
be identified as Democrat. Phil Donohue was fired
for political reasons.

10. Bush & Cheney
Keep them busy there so they can't do anything at the White House

I wonder how much the American people would be able to put up with if they are on every day.

11. I would call for an intellectual significant Black host to get his or her own show.

This would, in my mind, not include the likes of Jesse or Al. Or the Armstrong Williams/Joe Watkins/Ron Christy types.

It would include people like Kweisi Mfume, Joe Madison, Lannie Guinnier, some local market 'urban' radio talker, a true academic, a Eugene Robinson (already seen on MSNBC), people of this general ilk. Serious minded but personable. Smart and informed, but not stuffy. Ed Bradley (RIP, Ed) would have been perfect.

I'm not even looking for a known 'liberal' so much as an honest broker of sound discussion.

19. Political show
If they would replace Imus, I dont think it would be a political person, but someone who could interview politicians as well as musicians and actors.

23. Hmm ...
Man would I love to get my hands on a list of Limbaughs advertisers and compare it to the ones that dumped IMUS.
Might be some fun to be had with this thing yet.

He might even get those yo-yo listeners to smarten the hell up, too. We don't NEED any more entertainers on air -- we need EDUCATORS on the air.
