4. Of course I mistrust them too!
But at least for now they have stopped working towards choosing our candidate for us. The anointing of Hillary was getting so nauseating. Now, we have a fair fight! :)

2. Hill is too much "politics as usual . . ."
Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 05:50 PM by MrModerate
She's created an opening for Obama, Edwards, et al, precisely because of her disturbing, robotic, expertise at organization and fundraising -- and incidentally because she's a dud as a speaker.

She has the best resume, but I don't think she's going to be able to inspire the people. It's going to be an interesting primary.

On the other hand, I am somewhat pleased that the 'Lican frontrunners are such freaks, because Hill's professionalism is one reason (one of two, the second being Bill Clinton) to vote for her if it were looking like a strong 'Lican contender was emerging.

15. She does have the best resume but......
Gore had a better resume thatn Bush and people voted for Bush becasue he was "the type of guy you'd wanna have a beer with.'

Personally, I don't want to have a beer with my president. I want my president to succeed at the job.

Why people vote for whom they vote for is sometimes subjective, unfortunately.

24. Richardson *does* have a good resume . . .
What he doesn't have today -- and this could change -- is much profile in the candidate stakes. I've seen him unscripted a couple of times (most recently on The Daily Show) and he's pretty telegenic. Let's see what he does going forward.

I do think that Hill's resume is stronger -- and unique. She just doesn't warm the cockles of my heart very much.

5. The point of this thread...
...was actually to say that now all of the Democratic candidates can get a fair shake...as no one is being called the front runner or sure thing. I would think that all Democrats would like that and could stop the damn bickering that goes on here every single day. There is no other point...Why do you want to make one????

12. No thin skin here, baby....
Yes, Hillary is poison for the Democratic ticket because she cannot win. I've said it before and I will say it again...as many times as I have to.

Good Night and Good Luck...with your campaign for Hillary.

6. Who gives a crap what the Heathers in the MSM think or say?
They have long since rendered themselves irrelevant.

It was clear we had a horse race a long-ass time ago and hallelujah for that.

25. Infuriating? Yes. Inept? Sure. Unethical? Lots of 'em. Lazy? Hard to argue. Herd-like?
Unquestionably.

But irrelevant? Not so much.

Ask not-President Gore if the MSM matters or not.

13. The double team is out now, huh?
I watched Matthews tonight and I did not hear him call her the frontrunner...for the first time. It was on HIS show that they spoke of the playing field being wide open now for all of the candidates. Were you not listening...or just doing selective listening?

I just rewound Hardball on TiVo. He said what does the fundraising of Romney and Obama mean to the frontrunners Clinton and Guilliani?

22. Let me explain
When more than one person objects to something you posted, simply call it a double team thereby impinging the credibility of your assailants while garnering yourself sympathy.*

* - Please note this does not always work.

14. I wish she wasn't but the polls say she is ...
there hasn't been a single poll out of several dozen that shows her anything but ahead. That makes her the frontrunner.

And to be fair to Hillary- she's a competent candidate. Just not as likeable as I'd prefer- doesn't connect with a large segment of the population.

17. Um up until now she WAS the frontrunner
When you lead in almost every single poll and if you don't lead, you're a close second, you are the frontrunner.

Now Obama has pulled even with her in funding which should lead to positive press for him and likely negative press for her. Nothing the press like more than knocking down that which they have built.

23. Definitely Obama's week. Dude kicked serious ass.
I was excited when I heard about the fundraising team he was assembling but Jesus H Christ that's a lot of money and a ton of donors for the 1st Q.

There will be no money issues this year.

There will be no August restraint because of public financing.

The GOP is in seriously deep doo doo.
