Say something good about..
Edited on Mon Mar-19-07 11:45 PM by mvd
the field of Democratic candidates other than your #1 choice. My #1 is Kucinich, so..

Hillary Clinton - she's smart, won't take crap from the Repuke side, and is very good on health care.

Barack Obama - he's progressive while appealing to moderates and independents.

John Edwards - I believe his populism is real, and that message must not be lost in these times of Bush wars.

Bill Richardson - Could draw in the interior Southwest

Now it's your turn. You do not have to say something good about the whole field, but pick at least a couple.

1. O.k.
Hillary Clinton - Very intelligent, hard-working, tough yet caring, and she loves her husband. I like that.

2. Hillary Clinton scares the shit out of Republicans
Edited on Mon Mar-19-07 11:55 PM by Rowdyboy
Barack Obama almost makes me believe anything is possible in America.

Bill Richardson is the most professionally qualified candidate in either party.

John Edwards' sincerity shines through. I, too, believe his populism is real.

I've followed Dennis Kucinich since the 1970's when he was the youngest mayor of a major American city. He's always been an intriging character.

Chris Dodd is the best senator in the Connecticut delegation.

Joe Biden......Uh.....You're on your own.

4. Covered a lot there

I think threads like this lighten the atmosphere here and also help to stop retaliatory attacks when people read what posters say.

3. The ENTIRE Democratic field is strong.
They are good-looking, intelligent, savvy candidates that will kick the ever lovin' crap out of the poor schmuck the GOP puts up.

7. Oh, each one is a million times more honorable and..
helpful to all Americans than any on the Repuke side. I'm proud of who we have, in general. When we get a Democrat as President, that President might also surprise some critics.

9. I just hope enough of the public sees what I do
The Repuke smear machine has made some pre-conceived, false notions of our candidates. Hillary is not divisive in reality, Kucinich is not crazy and ineffective, etc.

5. My fave is Obama
Clinton- She is a smart, strong woman.

Edwards- I like his message of two Americas and his health care ideas

Richardson- I like Richardson's experience and diplomatic credentials in addition to the way he balances pro-business stands with pro-labor stands.

Kucinich- I like his stance on pretty much all the issues.

I actually think we have an excellent field of candidates this year and I'd be proud to support and work hard for whoever gets the nomination.

13. Here goes ...
Hillary Clinton: Her own NY constituents think she does well by them, and they're in a better position to know than anyone.

Barack Obama: Able to blend a visionary outlook with a down-to-earth approach.

Dennis Kucinich: Non-nonsense, no BS - says what a lot of politicians think but are too cautious to articulate honestly.

John Edwards: Solid, well-spoken southern gentleman. You know he wouldn't lie to ya, because his parents brought him up better than that -- and it shows.

Bill Richardson: Experienced, well-rounded; knows when to pick a fight, and when to use diplomacy to get the job done.

Congratulations mvd, on a very interesting and thought-provoking thread.

15. It's nice to see something so positive ...
... it really makes you think about each individual -- and when you do stop and think, you realize that each one of them brings something of value to the table.

Of course, we Dems have much easier choices to make. The Republicans have to find candidates that aren't likely to be under investigation or indictment in the hear future - and that's getting harder to do all the time.

16. From a Kucitizen--
Hillary Clinton: Really smart, and the right wing hates her.

Barack Obama: Spectacularly effective speaker. A lot of "world citizen" connections.

John Edwards: Solidly populist. The One America theme is very good.

Bill Richardson: Great resume. Signed medical marijuana law at some political risk just to do the right thing.

I like all the others too, but I think she is the most qualified and I truly believe she is a leader and a mentally strong individual.

President. But Bill was astronomically better than Bush, and he had the economy running well. The only ones unhappy were the Freepers and the oligarchy, who let their own money structure decline.

19. My favorite is Edwards so...
Obama: 20,000 in Austin? Freezing out FOX News? Holy hell, we're talking serious situation domination here. We're talking landslide, baby! McCain, Giuliani, Romney, Gingrich, and everyone else are wetting themselves at the thought of being picked to lose against Obama.

Richardson: Impressive resume, guv, and electing a Hispanic candidate would make xenophobe heads explode.
