The Freepers have fallen in love with Giuliani after his Hannity appearance
did anybody happen to catch Rudy on Hannity and Colmes tonight? Ecstatic Freepers are acting like he gave the Gettysburg address on Fox tonight and I was looking for a more objective view (I didn't see it myself). The Freepers used to post pictures of "RINO Rudy" in drag and now all of a sudden he's the great Republican hope. Apparently the interview will be replayed at 12 am eastern- don't know if I can stomach watching it but I am curious what has got them all lovesick.

3. I guess we should take it as a compliment ...
the Republicans have fallen so far that the only way they can find a candidate who is competitive is one with largely Democratic views. At least on social issues, Rudy has his kneepads on for Bush and the Iraq war.

The only problem is that Rudy may well be competitive in fact and he may kow-tow to the right wingers once in office.

6. I doubt he'll get nominated
Edited on Mon Feb-05-07 11:31 PM by Ignacio Upton
I can't believe they're fawning over one appearance. If Giuliani gets the nomination, then look for the social conservatives to bolt and form a third party...a third party that could carry SEVERAL states in the deep south and parts of the west (think Utah and Idaho.)

7. Why should he?
Bush didn't kow-tow to the moderates who put him in office. If it were just up to the base of the Republican Party Bush would never be president. A lot of maderates voted for him because they bought into his "united not a divider" schtick. Screw them royal, didn't he.

Perhaps Rudy will give a bit of payback should he make it to the White House. Doubt he will but if there has to be a Repug there I'd prefer him over McCain any day.

I wonder which GOP primary candidate is holding on to that huge pair of flip flops they used to drag around to Kerry events.

10. Oh no! A vote for Rudy is a vote for mandatory long -sleeved shirts
To: Howlin

I strongly believe in the Constitutional process. If guys like Rudy want to infringe on the right to bare arms then I suggest they propose a repeal or modification of the second amendment.

11. I will leave the attacks to
come on Rudy from those citizens of New York City that knew the type man he really is. As Al Sharpton said recently on CNN, once the general pubic gets to know the real Rudy then he will lose that crown of "Americans Mayor"....
