Biden...the other comment that really makes me scratch my head...
Edited on Wed Jan-31-07 07:25 PM by SaveElmer
He says the following:

"The more people learn about them (Obama and Hillary) and how they handle the pressure, the more their support will evaporate."

Now I want to preface this by saying that in general I have a positive view of Biden..I think he is a good Senator, very smart and talented...however...

On this comment I have two points:

1. In 1988 Biden had pulled out after plagarizing a speech of British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock's. While it did cause a furor, at the time I didn't think it was a fatal mistake, yet out he went. Not really standing up to the pressure there I would say

2. Perhaps he has a point with Obama who has yet to be truly tested, but does he seriously think that we believe Hillary can't stand pressure. I mean get real, over the last 16 years she has been hounded by the right wing sleaze machine, from Whitewater, to Travelgate, to being accused of murder, adultery and lesbianism...and yet emerges as a popular figure and gets elected Senator from New York, and now is leading in polls to be President of the United States...

Frankly Joe, I would stack up Hillary's ability to handle the pressure up against your anyday

1. Amen to that
And I found his comment that HRC's husband is doing the heavy lifting for her condescending and insulting.

Plus, I'll take Obama over Biden any day of the week.

3. The biggest danger I see about Hillary is..
she has the habit of getting too full of herself, (not in a bad way) almost forgetting,
there are people watching and waiting for her to take a wrong step. She must never
forget the external forces surrounding her environment, aren't always friendly.

2. One thing you have to give Biden credit for, he has spoken against this war ...
and this White House more so than any of the other candidates who threw their hats in the ring.

4. Biden has the disiese of "Hoof Mouth". He blurts out shit
before he thinks them through.

Biden is in it for his ego and that's all. He does not impress me at all.
