Online DE paper shows curious naming of protestors at Bush visit
Edited on Wed Jan-31-07 05:22 PM by zulchzulu
I was looking at Delaware Online for Biden stuff and came upon the Bush visit photo gallery. What is interesting is that the protestors are named in the caption and where they live, but the guests at the bush speech are anonymous...

I smell a rat...

Ed Mulready (left), of Newark, and Michael Berg hold up their protest signs
on the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and I-95. Police blocked the protest so
President George W. Bush's motorcade could pass through the intersection.

John Atkeison of Wilmington carries a protest sign in Rodney Square while President
George W. Bush is inside the Hotel du Pont giving a speech on Wednesday morning.

George Turner of Wilmington had a message for the president on Wednesday. He and
other protesters converged on Rodney Square in Wilmington while President Bush
was inside the Hotel DuPont giving a speech.

President Bush shakes hands with guests on stage after his speech at the Hotel du Pont.

1. Interesting. Perhaps the reporter was in the streets

and not in the conference hall. So the reporter got the protestors names and residence and no supporters' names. The pictures could be stock photos from the event with no accompanying info.

But then again, BushCo is known to comb through newspapers to add people to their "no fly" lists and "do not let them see Bush" lists. This could just as plausibly be aiding and abetting BushCo's well-known and notorious behavior.

2. Not at all unusual for DE
Edited on Wed Jan-31-07 09:23 PM by SteveG
Some of the protesters listed are fairly well known in DE. Micheal Berg was the Green candidate running against Mike Castle for Rep. to Congress in the last election. Overall in DE right now Bush is as popular as a dose of Clap. Those who support him are vocal, but few and very far between. I should also point out that in DE if your photo gets into the paper, a lot of people will know their name already, we are a very small state.
