Daniel Hopsicker is an independent journalist working in Venice,
Florida, outside the decommissioned military airstrips where three
pilots from the 9/11 attack were trained. Hopsicker found the secret
life of 9/11 ring-leader Mohamed Atta, who lead the operation by
piloting the first plane into the World Trade Centre. Hopsicker
found Atta's American girlfriend, Amanda Keller. What she said broke
new ground for truth-seekers worldwide. Atta had social connections
and a party-boy life that indicated there was more to his story than
people had been told. The American media establishment turned a
blind eye to Hopsicker's work, however. He has been called a
"conspiracy theorist" in mainstream media in Florida, when he's paid
any attention at all.

Yet, in November, 2006, Hopsicker's career turned a corner. Sources
connected to the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) told the
Megaphone that his work began to be used to track Atta's former
associates. A researcher close to JTTF, speaking on condition of
anonymity, told the Megaphone that the "JTTF relied heavily on
Daniel's research on Atta and Amanda . I faxed them pages
from Welcome to Terrorland."


The lead paid off: on November 16, 2006, the Joint Terrorism Task
Force issued a "Terror Alert" for a certain Wolfgang Bohringer, a
German-born, naturalized U.S. citizen who had reportedly partied
with and protected Mohamed Atta in Florida. Bohringer's name came up
often in interviews with Amanda Keller. Amanda called the two
"inseparable" and described how they had been kicked out of bars
together. Atta called Wolfgang "brother" a name he reserved for
particular white Europeans.


Why "Brother?" During Atta's university years in Cairo, the
engineering guild that he joined had made him a member of the group
Muslim Brotherhood. (9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is also
a card-carrying Muslim Brother.) The group has two wings. Their
front men in Egypt are non-violent, but the sordid history of the
Brotherhood is that, since 1928, its anti-Semitism and anti-Zionist
ideologies have made it a partner in crime for Nazis, European
fascists, American far-rightists, and their powerful counterparts,
the neo-conservatives.


The JTTF swiftly descended on Wolfgang Bohringer, outside Fanning
Island, in the South Pacific, about 1000 miles south of Hawaii, on
the 17th of November. Sources reported that the arresting officers
said, "The first thing out of his mouth made him go from a '5' to an
'8'" (on a scale of importance). Allegedly, Bohringer had claimed,
"You can't arrest me, I'm working for the CIA."


It looks like Bohringer was right. The day after the arrest, The
Megaphone's JTTF sources did an about-face. With a mix of threats
and attempts at persuasion, they claimed that an error had been
made: Bohringer had not been arrested. It was someone else. They
couldn't say who. That identity was secret.


Daniel Hopsicker felt betrayed. In an email to a JTTF source, he
said, "perhaps y'all are unaware up there that i haven't spent the
past five years in venice bumfuck florida because i have a fetish
for blue-haired widows. i'm the person who discovered that mohamed
atta had a close german associate named wolfgang bohringerŠif NOBODY
there feels that i deserve to be briefed on this story, please pass
on my cordial 'fuck you' to all involved."


The Megaphone approached other sources inside national and
international security agencies. One source, a former JTTF informant
and undercover operative for the anti-terrorist Operation
Diamondback, phoned The Megaphone office on Dec. 11, and confirmed
that Wolfgang Bohringer was arrested on Nov. 17, 2006: "The answer
is yes, and he's working-can't talk about it."


The message was pithy, but the effect is devastating: This might be
the closest anyone has come to "proof" that Mohamed Atta had
connections to the CIA.


If sources are correct, Bohringer was working for CIA when he
befriended Atta in Florida. Bohringer was CIA when he was arrested
by the Joint Terrorism Task Force on November 17th, 2006.


And according to the Diamondback source, Mohamed Atta best friend,
Wolfgang Bohringer today is still "working" for CIA.


At this point, The New York Megaphone is out front on a story no one
else has. The only thing we can say is "Qui custodiat ipso
custodies?" latin for "Who watches the watchmen?"


According to polls, national opinion is shifting towards thinking
more critically about 9/11. But the only people who seem adamant
these days about defending a lie are the people tasked with finding
the truth.

An online review of Hopsicker's 2004 article "Welcome to Terrorland" reads

The two basic assumptions of this book are that the feds are trying to hide something about the events leading to 9/11, and that some clues can be found by following leads in Venice, Florida, where three of the four pilots learned to fly. Huffman Aviation plays a central role, and two flight-school entrepreneurs active in Venice, Wallace J. Hilliard and Rudi Dekkers, have curious connections and are always out of money, but never worry about it. Narcotics, perhaps, or the CIA, or both? It seems that you can't poke around any small aviation company in the U.S. without finding CIA connections sooner or later. Hopsicker's previous book was about Barry Seal and the CIA at the Mena, Arkansas airfield during Iran-contra.

The FBI was running around Venice after 9/11, telling people to keep their mouths shut. Does this mean anything? The 9/11 Commission report, issued after this book appeared, traces the key terrorists well enough to make this book seem too narrow in its focus. Nevertheless, interesting questions are raised by Hopsicker that no one else has investigated. It's possible that the feds wanted to cover up patterns of activity that should have set off alarms, but didn't. Why not? Probably for reasons unrelated to 9/11 -- bureaucratic turf wars, protecting sources and methods, drug profiteering, or whatever. Chances are that 9/11 was a complete surprise.

It's probably worth noting that a lot of the business for pilot schools in Florida is for people in the drug trade.

I thought it was strange because Mohamed didn’t appear to be French-Canadian or German.’ When the group checked into a hotel in Key West, there was also something odd about the room assignments. ‘We rented 3 different rooms in Key West,’ Amanda said. ‘In one room nobody slept. It was where they put their flight bags. Then they locked the room down. Peter and Stephan slept in one room. 2. Atta called his German associates “brother.” “ . . . More puzzling was learning of Atta’s deep ties with a number of Germans. ‘Mohamed called certain people—Arabic people—‘my brother.’ And I was wondering how he had so many family members. Like gang members do, ‘this is my brother,’’ she said. ‘But not all Arabs. So it wasn’t like anyone Muslim was his brother. He called Wolfgang and Juergen ‘my brother,’ too. He and Wolfgang were very tight, they went everywhere together. When he came into the picture they were together all the time.’” (Ibid.; p. 284.)

3. “ ‘Him and Juergen acted like they had known each other forever. He told me he went back and forth to Germany, but lived in France. Juergen was a pervert, straight out,’ she said. ‘Every woman that walked by, he had something to say to them, commenting on their butt or whatever. He would go up to a woman, say I’m from Germany, and I want to touch an American woman’s butt. He was a lush, mid-1930’s.’ Who was this ‘Wolfgang? Who was this ‘Juergen?’” (Ibid.; pp. 284-285.)

I get the sense that Atta, like other al-Qaedistas, was using the drug trade to fund his activities. I mean, you can't always go running to uncle Osama for every little expense, can you?

Rudi Dekkers has been regularly entering the U.S. illegally through the Bahamas, the MadCowMorningNews has learned. In an effort to evade U.S. Customs scrutiny, the infamous Dutch national running the Venice FL. flight school which both terrorist pilots who crashed into the World Trade Center used as “cover” is slipping into the U.S. from the Bahamas after exchanging clothes with one of the pilots on the charter flight which flew to pick him up.

Then, wearing the charter pilot’s uniform, multiple sources confirm, Dekkers walks through U.S. Customs.

“Rudi looked like the co-pilot when they landed in the U.S.,” stated one source. “His bags were carried through Customs by a female who appeared to be the co-pilot, Christina Hewitt, who flew in with pilot Marcus Huber to pick him up, and who then posed as the customer for the charter flight when they went through Customs.”

A German citizen suspected by the FBI of having had links with alleged 9/11 ringleader Mohamed Atta arrives in the remote South Pacific archipelago of Kiribati, one of the world’s smallest nations. Wolfgang Bohringer wants to set up a tourist resort and flight school on the isolated outpost of Fanning Island, which is only 13 square miles in size, has no phones or a functioning airstrip, and is home to just 600 people. Its only advantage is that it is among the closest of the islands to Hawaii, which is 1,200 miles to the north. Bohringer meets Kiribati President Anote Tong to discuss his proposal. Bill Paupe, who runs an aviation business in Honolulu and is Kiribati’s consul in the US, comments that the flight school plan makes no sense: “It would be very expensive. You would have to (transport) all the people there ... and all your instructors and your staff would have to be housed and fed and everything.” However, he adds, “A rationale for setting up a private training school in such a remote location would be to get beyond the reach of regulatory agencies.” The FBI will later brief President Tong on its suspicions of Bohringer and warn him that small countries like Kiribati could be vulnerable to terrorists. In November 2006, when the whole incident comes to light, the FBI will confirm that Bohringer is considered a “person of interest,” and had close ties with a US flight school attended by Mohamed Atta. (This is presumably Huffman Aviation in Venice, Florida (see July 6-December 19, 2000).) But by this time, Bohringer will have fled Kiribati, with his whereabouts unknown. ...in the big picture I think bin Laden needs Bush more than Bush needs bin Laden. Republicans can always gin up a new enemy. They were in the process of doing so with Iraq when Osama's 19 showed us what a real enemy is.
