1. Why didn't the old, corrupt criminal step in sooner?
I guess, as Wyatt said in "tombstone", "There's no money in it." :eyes:

2. I think it might also be that he didn't think is son
might actually be in jeopardy of going to prison but now that is changing.

3. So the parents get home from vacation and there is a cop car in
the driveway. Yeah, sounds about right. Don't you wonder how many times the elder Bush's have had to deal with this scenario? Only now it's Officer Pelosi waiting to talk to them, and she don't take no shit...

4. Nice analogy ...
... and I bet by now Poppy's good and tired of wiping Jr's ass and cleaning up his broken toys.

7. Yeah, since now he has been doing that for several
decades and it now has the potential to make him look bad. Jr. may be on the verge of finding out that business connections are thicker than blood.

5. Oh, I think he's been stepping in it all along
Junior couldn't be as stupid as he is without the help of his stupid daddy.

8. I agree with you....
his daddy is so highly overrated. Daddy is evil to the core and has many dirty deeds on his hands. I'm sure he has been involved with Junior's tenure all along, even though they deny it.

9. I agree also...
...GHWB was the first time I knew what it was to have a gut wrenching hatred for the President. And I didn't even know about his possible connection to the JFK assassination (possible, not proven).

In my opinion the man is the very embodiment of the phrase "the banality of evil."

6. GHWB still receives regular CIA briefings. Yeah, just so he'll *stay on top of things.*
FAHRENHEIT 9/11: George H. W. Bush receives daily CIA briefings.

* "One of the people who corresponded with Wilson is George H. W. Bush, the only president to have been head of the C.I.A.-- he still receives regular briefings from Langley." Vicky Ward, “Double Exposure,” Vanity Fair, January 2004.

* Former President Bush has made efforts to keep abreast of foreign affairs, partly by exercising his right to be briefed by CIA personnel about developments around the globe. Ha'aretz, “George Bush Sr. Vouches for Son's Support of Israel to the Saudis”, July 16, 2001.
