Kerry's Hawk & Dove Wing Response: Zero Bars!
Edited on Fri Dec-19-03 11:51 AM by Skinner
--snip--

In a memo featuring a Clark photo that can only be described as disturbing, Kerry aides briefly explained the "rules and formulas for beating Republicans and winning the White House." Actually, what follows sounds less like "rules and formulas," and more like a verbal wet willie. (Remember. The theme is "zero").

• "Help, Mary" -- The number of times Mary Jacoby can bail you out of both of your positions on the war: 0

• The number of Democrats who have skipped the Iowa Caucus and won the Democratic presidential nomination: 0

• The number of Republicans who have skipped the Iowa Caucus and won the Democratic presidential nomination: See above.

• The number of full of years Wesley Clark has been in the Democratic Party: 0 (still 0 if you round up).

1. Friendly fun amongst the campaign workers.
Amazing though they couldn't find time to cover Kerry's well received speech at the VFW convention or the endorsement of the Fire Fighters' union.

2. I find this hilarious
and, judging from the "number of chicken wings" line, it seems to be in good fun -- I do wish it had been left private, though

4. At least this stuff is kind of humorous
as oposed to just mean spirited sniping.

Will be interesting to see what the clark camp fires back. The wing thing was damn funny too. This primary has certainly been entertaining thats for sure.

5. Damn it. Now I'm craving chicken wings and chocalate.
Funny stuff! Now I'm hungry though so it's time to figure out what's for lunch.

7. This Is Awesome
If this is as "mean-spirited" as the Clark and Kerry campaigns get, then kudos to both candidates.

The Lehane line is classic. ;-)

Oh, but the Iowa caucus thing is wrong. Big Dog essentially skipped Iowa (as did all of the candidates that year except for Harkin) and still won the nomination and the Presidency.
