Edited on Sat Oct-28-06 02:46 PM by caledesi
Florida for the 3rd time in 3 weeks. This time from Pioneer Research. The pollster kept pushing the rethug candidates...citing statements about how great they were.
Q: Do you find these statements about ______ credible?: A: No.
Q: After reading a list of great things about Charlie Crist, the pollster asked who I would vote for Crist or Justice. A: I am not voting for "Tallahassee Lassie." The pollster was taking aback. Q: Who do you mean? A: Crist or course, I am voting for Charlie Justice.
Last question: (this time I was smart)
Q: You answered Christian, when asked about religious affiliation, do you consider yourself Evangelical. A: YES!
BTW, NO talk of Iraq!!
Oh, this is getting good!

| 1. Got polled a couple of times in the last couple of weeks |
|
first one was just my rating on 4 issues - when one of them was "death tax", we knew where that was headed. Second one asked about what I thought the next Congress should be doing - A: "their job as a co-equal branch of government". Then we danced off to our senate race between Claire & Talent(less) and on and on and on and on.........

| 2. Sounds familiar. After the first question was asked, I knew what |
|
I was dealing with.
Q: Which issue is the most important issue that is determining your vote? (paraprasing)
Iraq WAS NOT mentioned. Neither was health care.
The "issues" were taxes etc. Dead giveaway.
I learned from posting another push-poll survey, to say I was an Evangelical.
Ha Ha! Bet that got in his craw!

| 4. Best way to hurt kkkarl rove, and thwart his schemes? Be a SMART |
|
voter. I mean REALLY smart - shrewd and savvy about the way he operates, so you can use it against him - as when you recognize the buzz phrases or code words or other tip-offs like the deliberate choices in issues that they offer for your comment, or whether you're an evangelical.
If a lot of us have caught on, and start turning this against them, it'll hurt and frustrate them, because it'll be sugar poured into his engines and random monkeywrenches thrown into his machinery. And it WILL win elections for OUR side.
Remember the watchwords of Mad-Eye Moody to Harry Potter's Defense Against the Dark Arts class: 1) You've GOT to KNOW!! And 2) "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!" The "Art of War," too, strongly advises you to know your enemy. Far easier to work the game against him that way.
