RNC got Dick Morris to write this stupid ad about NSA wiretapping
Someone I know with connections to the RNC in DC said they have just cut an ad written by toe-sucking Dick Morris that attempts to show fear and dread (of course built on lies) that will possibly feature regional Democrats slated at the end with taglines that they don't know jackshit about national security. The DNC needs to respond to this ad pronto.

The viewer sees and hears a wiretapped conversation, with a terrorist revealing his worst plans to his associate - and, inadvertently, to government eavesdroppers, too. Then, when he’s about to spill the beans on when and where the next attack is going to come, the line goes dead, with a dial tone. A female machine operator voice then says: “This wiretap terminated, in the name of privacy rights, by the Democratic U.S. Congress.”

The screen goes pitch black for a split second, followed by a male announcer, in a deep voice, saying, “If the Democrats control the (House/Senate), your National Security Agency will never be able to listen in as the terrorists plot to attack us. On Nov. 7, vote for a more secure America. Vote Republican.”

1. I heard Morris wrote this in a column as a hypothetical.
So I'm not sure which is correct or what the circumstances are but, either way, the fear voice and the fear font are getting a lot of work this election cycle.

2. That's easy! Just show the same thing doing wiretapping
on soccer moms, grandmas, two friends talking local politics. One of these pulls the curtain back to see a black SUV pulling up in front of the house with two guys in suits and sunglasses getting our approaching the door.

Then fade to black with text: "They don't need a warrant any more."

6. 4th amendment
The right wingers will scream and wail about the 2nd amendment, but when it comes to the
4th amendment, they are ignorant.

7. This is Such Bullshit!
1) Terrorists don't come out and say "we're going to attack place X at this time." It's all coded messages. "The cock crows at dawn," etc. If they're talking about something, chances are that it's disinformation.

2) They're smart enough to know that they're being monitored, or at least there's the possibility of monitoring, either from us or the country that they're in.

3) If some terrorist was stupid enough to reveal his nefarious plans over the regular phone lines, NSA, FBI, etc. would be in FISA court with a wiretap request so fast it would make Osama's head spin.

4) Or, if they were in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., they'd probably be either captured or taken out with a Predator.

Dickhead Morris needs to stop watching so much "24".
