RadarOL: "Is Mark Warner trying to skirt a bimbo eruption?" (no sources)
Yes, I know, I know---this story has only anonymous sources and could easily be a smear (but it was posted after he withdrew and now would be a smear no one could benefit from now that Warner is out of the race).

Is Mark Warner trying to skirt a bimbo eruption?

D.C. insiders are speculating that his surprise pull-out may have been sparked by concerns that alleged past sexual indiscretions could derail his campaignespecially in the midst of theMark Foley feeding frenzy.

"I can't believe no one has mentioned his philandering," a former political aide tells Radar, adding that she herself was subjected to Warner's advances in the late '90s and had heard "stories about Mark and many interns."

"This can't be isolated. I have to believe this stuff is all over," a former D.C. consultant tells Radar.

"It would be ironic if the anti-Hillary faction's best hope turned out to have the same problem as Bill," the consultant said.

3. We need to talk about stuff like this. This must be on our radar screens
I hate it as much as you. Like it or not, this is part of the presidential dialog. If we nominate a candidate with this sort of chink in his armor, and it turns out it's because we're too well mannered to emulate actual Fall 08 road conditions when we field test our candidates in the Winter of 07-08, then we're to blame for any damage we received from self inflicted October surprises.

It's ugly, but it's true

4. Interesting that this aide decides to tell people that he made
advances towards her when he says he's announced he's not running, rather than in 2001 when he was. :eyes:

...Another idiotic Dem consultant.
Warner was the "anti-Hillary faction's best hope"?

Does this clown understand what is going on at ALL??

Warner was neither our "hope," nor would he even have been our best one if he had been.

The insiders don't know SHIT. God damn.

6. No wonder decent people don't run for President...
It's not worth it. No one is perfect. And the ones that are "perfect" are boring buffoons...

7. If having affairs is a disqualifier, we are going to limit our choices
to a very small % of quality people. This is really disturbing. I think this faux morality BS has got to cease or will end up with more Dimson-type people running this country (not that I think Bush hasn't had his share of trysts...he just hasn't been caught in one).
