Rove Had Three Priests Cast Hillary's "Evil Spirit" From West Wing WTF?
...Bush adviser Karl Rove bringing in three Catholic priests to cast her evil spirit from her old West Wing office - as reported in the new Rove bio, "The Architect."

WTF is this???

Is this f**king story true?
Were tax payer dollars wasted on this idiotic stunt?
Why the hell were three Catholic Priests doing this idiocy? (Isn't that a violation of non-profit
laws?)

2. I recall hearing about this back in 2000 ...
Doesn't he now have her old office? I put NOTHING past these nutjobs -- didn't they also "bless" the Senate chamber before the vote on Scalito (or was it the hearing room before the hearing?).

4. I'm not buying it. Sounds far-fetched at minimum. Catholic Priests

being involved put it over the top. Our home-grown Religious Extremists, i.e., Bush's base, don't hold with all that Catholic mumbo-jumbo, ya' know?

Exorcisms are rare, are performed on people, rarely on places, and subject to extreme pre-review before a true exorcist, and there are few enough of them in the Church, are called in.

Makes a nice story for the RW overgrown kiddies to be tucked into bed with, though. "And the powerful and wonderful Catholic priests, aided by Karl Rove the Blessed, chased the bad demon Clinton bitch's spirit out of the people's White House, and Bush ruled happily ever after. The End."

5. I agree with you. Catholic priests don't go around performing
exorcisms on their own without permission of the Vatican and they don't do them as some sort of a stunt. Sounds highly implausible.

6. It's gonna take an entire monastery to exorcise the demons of the current
occupants.

I have GOT to get this book, LOL!

7. Did KKKarl Rove also cast off Eleanor Roosevelt's spirit?
...Hillary did say she communed with the spirit of Eleanor Roosevelt, correct? Here is Rove's likely approach:

<snip>
Warding off Devils and Demons
Traditions says that various colors and sounds and smells can ward off demons. Thus the Mediterranean people paint a certain blue around doors and windows to keep out vampires and wear blue beads to defend against the evil eye, and so on.

Various ritual magic ceremonies and supernatural powers have their appropriate colors and must be used just as vestments of various colors are used at Masses commemorating martyrs (red), the dead (black, more recently violet or even white), expressing hope (green), and so on.

The ringing of bells is supposed to repel devils and demons, and we ring church bells, hand bells at the consecration of the Mass, etc. The garment of the High Priest of the Jews used to be decorated with tinkling bells to drive away evil spirits. (The most distinctive feature of his dress was probably the jeweled breastplate - behind it were secreted devises for fortune-telling.) Small bells are used this way in other cultures to this day. A hand bell is used in the exorcism of "bell, books and candle" and in various other magical operations. Music repels evil by its order and harmony.

Evil creatures smell bad and incense drives them off, but "hellish" odors such as sulfur, brimstone, and tar attract them. Incense also represents purification and prayers rising to God (if sweet smelling) or The Devil (if repulsive).

A new abode should be fumigated by burning camphor and myrtle and aloes or nutmeg. Camphor is of the moon, myrtle of Venus, aloes of the Sun, nutmeg of Jupiter, and the house itself of Virgo, but the magical rite to protect it should be that of Saturn (in case that is any help to you.)

It is also said that angels where originally created out of fire, that jinn and spirits called up in necromancy and spiritualism's séances are assisted to become visible by the production of smoke, and that incense can be hallucinogenic (burning datura and henbane and other such drugs greatly assists people to 'see' things).

Most of all, perhaps, color and sound and incense create the atmosphere in which visualization, the key to magic, is best supported.
